What makes harmony korines films great is because he reaches deep into what we as a society are most afraid of and repress. Hes spitting these images back at us to make us face our worst fears and disect them. I also like how non linear and essentially devoid of an obvious meaning his films seem to be. It keeps you wondering, its an honest reflection of life. Maybe in your spoon fed capitalist plastic world where your every thought and emotion is controlled by your peers it doesnt make makesense

@fankstoot i grew up in cleveland and spent time in parts of PA and different parts of ohio. a lot of the characters in this film were similar to people I grew up around. some people are 110% like this in real life. as sick as it may be to some, to others it is totally normal to see. although i'm not like this, i didnt feel disgusted watching it. i felt like i was watching home footage of people i met and knew as a kid. korine did a perfect job creating a "photo album" type film.
