When I say generic I mean everyone elses scan tool. I understand there is obd 2 generic and enhanced. I have 5 differnet tools that are enhanced at my shop. And I'm way smarter then ya think snap on engineers. The only one offering this was the vetronix. Your tools are to generic for the price I dont mind spending that much to have this tool do it all if it did. Which it wont ..Thanks
The B1001 fix ready for this a oem vetronix tech 2. It's a shame even bosch that bought vetronix and the vci was supposed to replace the tech 2. The vci/ gm mdi is the same box should have had this support. It's disgusting to see ya'll and all of ya are trying to cash in on us. Limited support good at this better at that etc and so on. Ob 2 was supposed to be genarlized all is left a high priced lawyer to fix the madness. Geez
Here is a general view at hand. b1001 option configuration error 06 Impala vin K .NO GENERIC SCAN TOOL. Will configure the bcm and another code was thrown for the bpp, Brake pedal posistion sensor config after a reflash of the bcm. So I need to spend thousands with you for your Verus. Then thousands on a tech 2 thousands on a Ford Ids, thousands on a drb2 or new 3. C'mon enough is enough ob2 was supposed to make it simple for everyone. I wont buy another generic scan tool for this reason.
Your products are nice and offer great support in the generic sense we need more then your high priced equipment. With a fancy name that offers little. For years the brick scanner was all a shop needed. Again set an example.
I have to agree with the comment below. First of all I have over 26 years experience in the Automotive field. Snap on excuse me I own your tools equipment etc even the first Vantage with kv module. Maybe you guys aren't getting it right I dont need a hand held pc. With limted Oem level commands etc and so on. Todays techs need oem level equipment. Like today reprograming a 06 implala. Bcm with a bosch VCI/mdi needed a TECH 2 to finish seting it up. We are gong broke set an example.
John who? John has pretty hands, I bet money he dosen't make his living actually workin on cars LOL. Sanop-On shuld have never changed from the brick type cartridge. I should be able to buy a cartridge to plug into various scan tools and have factory scan and reflash capabilitys. It's way past time for ASE or the EPA to require the manufactures to standardize their scan tooling so we don't go friggen broke. NO generic tool does it all, OE tooling is becoming a necessity
