i want to let the "bubble" to get worse and worse actually. I really want these liberals to see the consequences of what they caused on a DRAMATIC scale. This belief that we need the government to "change" must end. People must reassume power and I think we need a real big knock to the nuts to realize that. Sorry if I sound cruel, but right now it seems like it's the only way.
They're missing the elephant in the room- the Federal Reserve, the one institution with the power to set off economy-wide malinvestments that ended in a bust of this magnitude.
@PanzerKampfWagen29 Mortgage Loan Officers were told by state, federal, and even local bureaucrats to give everyone loans. And now they want to blame "speculators.."
I think it's refreshing to see someone like Stossel speak to this effect. I'd never heard anything about it. Had Limbaugh been the only one (or anyone of his ilk) talking about it. Thanks for sharing.
I know he's a bit bombastic, but Rush Limbaugh knows his economics and has been talking about this for well over a month. But it's good that finally someone on television is exposing it as well.

Whenever barney frank speaks, it sounds like he's got a cucumber (or something the same shape) lodged permanently in his mouth.

Great job Stossel. So sick of tv, all you normally hear is how we should do whatever OUR government employees want.

This is the FIRST time I've heard about the government pressuring the banks. It WOULD be Stossel who finally speaks out.
You think gov will fix this? Gov CREATED this mess.
