Skjønner nesten ikke et ord jeg, er ikke en nordmann som synger, så kanskje ikke så rart ... I appreciate that you like Norwegian lullabies, but ... maybe you should have called this something else, because you're not a Norwegian singer, and you sound nothing like one . I can hardly understand anything. I'm sorry.
Yes... I'm trying to sing Norwegian at this amazing lullaby. I first heard it at the radio sung by Perlline Anker. It brought me a chill and enchantment. I felt I must record it. I had very little help with pronouncing Norwegian... I tried to give something of my own to that song, so I added a Hebrew translation (last part)
I hope I managed to bring you also a bit of the feeling I had when I heard that song first.
It is norwegian but the singer has a bit of another laungage in her voice and she push her voice so it hear a bit mushed or something, I dont know. But I'm norwegian and I know my own language, and this is norwegian :)
You have a nice voice if it is you who sing this, mediterraneanbird :D
Hauntingly beautiful. Reminds me of a young woman, Carolina who was our guide to Mount Dalsnibba. She sang this on the way. The most beautiful girl and song.
Love how lullabies are translated from languages to languages.

...but first she sings in norwegian, then probably in some other language (hebrew?).
the text of this song is quite short:
"Barnet legges i vuggen ned,
stundom gråter og stundom ler.
(Sove nå, sove nå, i jesu navn,
Jesus bevare barnet.)
Mamma tar meg på sitt fang,
danser med meg att og fram.
Danse så, med de små,
danse så, så skal barnet sove."
