who cares what the Germans though. They wanted to takeover the world and killed millions to do it. They try to bomb my county the UK flat. I asked my Gran if they wondered why the germans were do it. She said no they just wanted it to stop and if that meant killing all the germans so be it.

I would have thought that the big ships with the heavy guns would have come in shore first,and blow the cliff head to bits for at least 20 mins,blow all the german gunners out,and THEN let the smaller boats come in with the infantry.stupid to allow

Sure, and their landings all went more or less according to plan. Omaha is interesting because everything went pretty damn wrong.

Rommel knew that Normandy was the target, he wanted his panzer divisions close to the the beaches.

If memory serves me correct then Rommel had his Panzer divisions quite some distance away as tho Rommel knew where we would land, others did not agree as they thought it was obvious so Rommel was ordered to relocate his panzers, having said that I guess I wil be proven wrong in this vid lol........ Am going to enjoy this Vid
