@cyphalink As long as you have a audio card that has audio IN, it should work. Virtual DJ has Native Support for this controller. This means you don't need HYBRID. VDJ also outputs the HID display and MIDI out for the buttons. However, I don't believe they support the double resolution Denon has added.
I would love to buy a setup like this, however add it up and it's just retardedly expensive. I could buy so many regular instruments for a studio for that amount of money.
@gizmo4meh You would assign the Loop IN and Loop OUT in MIDI. That means it will be instant in SSL (Relative Mode). For the 3500, make sure you turn the Audio Curve to off in the Settings (Hold down Memo and scroll with the PM Knob).
Hey. I would like to know, do you necessarely need a mixer to use these? Because I would use the Turntables as midi in traktor and send the audio from the A track and B track from traktor to the A & B tracks in ableton live and use my apc 40 as a mixer(The Apc has a crossfader) ???? Many thanks in advance and nice video.
@JustSomeNoob1 The concept is kinda hot but this sounds absolutely insane and is likely to crash or hang. I would not rely on this set-up this live. I dont even think it would work, because ableton will only recieve one channel from traktor.
If you really want to incorporate ableton go serato, use the bridge and have a mixer designated to your spinning program.. That is what your hungering after, just throw every other pursuit out and go for it.
@Bido0108 On the DN-S3700, make sure and change the MIDI channel for each deck. Hold down MEMO/PRESET button for 2 seconds, then with the Parameters Knob, scroll until you reach MIDI Channel. Push the Parameters Knob down and select MIDI channel 2 for the second deck. Push the PM Knob again to exit and push the MEMO/PRESET button again to save.
They just started letting the new hybrid firmware mode firmware be downloaded tonight - I've installed it and its fantastic - hybrid mode blows away units costing 3 times as much as the 3700s - You get the tightness of DVS Timecode control from the platter, but have the flexibility of being able to program all the buttons on the 3700 to Midi controls for your software - this is nothing short of amazing.
@irgarza52 You can do both. Denon will also release a basic MIDI Map XML file as well when the firmware is released. But say you use a 8 bar loop a lot. You could easily assign that to any button.
@PowerOnPlay I like to purchase this deck but I just dont like that you can't change from midi/hybrid mode into cd mode or usb mode with out have to restart the whole deck.
@irgarza52 You don't gonna need to restart the deck this is not the definitive firmware is only a version under development wait a couple of day's and ask again and i tell you if that is really necessary the restart
hello everybody is possible give me the mapper for denon 3700 and scratch live, because i have one but not good...................thanks guys

Do you need the serato scratch control cd?
demiro123 1 year ago
@demiro123 Not with the new HYBRID mode. The Scratch Live timecode signal is built into the 3700 firmware.

@JustSomeNoob1 Technically, you wouldn't in Traktor. But I still highly recommend using a mixer.

@TheDustinash It has never crashed. Your more likely to run into problems playing a CD because of the vibration from the subs in a live situation.
The Sixty-Eight, SSL & Ableton Live aka The Bridge is a perfect combination. Unlimited capabilities.
