Endeavor to Perservere...yeah right.Just like Chris Rock said.."Do you ever see a native-American family at a restaurant eating??" They definately got the crappy end of the stick.
@ghostruner66 Actually really often around here you see that. You do not in chris rock's neighborhood but you don't see native americans in his neighborhood at all. Around here they're known for buying expensive meals and not tipping. Casinos and barely legal internet payday loans have really changed things.
@ratholin It's actually kind of embarrassing because when I go out with my native friends I have to wait until they're headed to the door and leave a tip to not hear some "We're oppressed people, we don't tip." rhetoric. When my friend's driving a new caddy and can't drop a couple singles to a waitress in a right to work state I think I know who's getting shorted.
"We told him about how our land had been stolen and our people were dying, when we finished he shook our hands and said 'Endeavor to persevere!' ...we thought about about it for a long time, 'Endeavor to persevere!' And we had thought about it long enough, we declared war on the Union."
I love this scene in Outlaw Josey Wales... "They call us the civilized tribe... They call us civilized because we're easy to sneak up on." My ancestors came to Missouri on the "trail of tears." People have been sneakin up on me for years!! :o)

PULL THE TRIGGER JOSEY,and do the right thing for your race
Send that savage to the happy hunting ground, with a bullet in his face
But Josey was a fictional character, and Clint Eastwood is just a acting tool
who spends his life "playing like" he wasn't some kind of simple minded fool
I've watched this movie on High Definition;and with glasses that weren't Rosy,
and every time I see the thing I still say -for god's sake -PULL THE TRIGGER JOSEY

I don't know if a better movie was ever made. Really. So many intricacies and sub-plots. Chief Lone Watie was simply BRILLIANT casting.
