@TheIronicBanana If you want a bird which plays around more than the conure than the quaker. You can teach the quaker more things but be warned because they make more noise. In my personal opinion i recommend the quaker because i like pets which always want me. Whenever i get out the room the quaker screams.

Long tail? hmmm....I don't know.. I never really thought it was unusually long. It doesn't sound good that your's is pulling his out and that there's blood in it. I would get that checked out if I were you.

Their wings are not cut. The quaker was only a few months old in this, and the sun conure could/can fly. If you wanted to get them clipped, the vet can do it. If you learned how, you can do it yourself - you just have to be careful not to cut a blood feather.
my sun conure doesnt have clipped wings, he sits on my shoulder when i shower sumtimes and occasionally walks thru the streams of water =) he can barely fly with all the water on him by the time he is done... =P
Quakers where in the US first? Before humans? No. They weren't. They're here because of the pet trade and stupid pet owners that didn't keep their birds contained.

I agree with that too but if you take the wild lovebirds in Arizona, you might disagree. Lovebirds procreate at a very fast rate and they're taking away precious resources from the native birds.
Native birds that already have to contend with harsh living conditions and encroaching loss of habitat.

you dont have to, Just takes lot of Practice to tame it.
Buy some books and im sure youll have a quaker on your hands after Lots of training sessions.
They are also Territorial So would take a while.

Our vet told us every day or so... but we don't do this kind all the time. They have big water dishes in their cage that they can bathe in.

I loved your video.. I have a quaker also..Snuggles.. he or she not sure just which sex loves to bathe. I would like to know if bathing daily is too much. I noticed alot of dust when spreading and shaking .

oh...no.. i am against cutting birds wings..now i feel better when i know that they can fly :) they are gorges. If you cut a birds wings is like you take all its life..birds need to fly...
I have two budgerigars and i love them very much :D The boy is talking..

Their wings are not cut. The quaker was only a few months old in this, and the sun conure could/can fly. If you wanted to get them clipped, the vet can do it. If you learned how, you can do it yourself - you just have to be careful not to cut a blood feather.

my sun conure doesnt have clipped wings, he sits on my shoulder when i shower sumtimes and occasionally walks thru the streams of water =) he can barely fly with all the water on him by the time he is done... =P

Quakers where in the US first? Before humans? No. They weren't. They're here because of the pet trade and stupid pet owners that didn't keep their birds contained.

oh yea thats true but i still believe that they should have the right to eat whenever they want and what ever they want as long as they dont get harmed....their birds they need to live!

I agree with that too but if you take the wild lovebirds in Arizona, you might disagree. Lovebirds procreate at a very fast rate and they're taking away precious resources from the native birds.
Native birds that already have to contend with harsh living conditions and encroaching loss of habitat.

What a fabulous idea! Is that a baby bath? I want to get one for my birds...I think my parakeets would love it! My sun conure would be afraid of it at least at first...You are a Great bird owner!
