Some Persians could find it not easy to understand everything in Gilaki songs, this particualr one is quite clear, but some could be not as easy as this, Kurds and Lors have a better underestanding Persian dialects. Lors are a bridge between Persians and Kurdish. I found all those dialect sweet and understable specially if you out them in writing. Dari of Afghanistan and Tajikistan and comepletely underestable for an Iranian Farsi speaker. Dari in Afghanistan is more untouched than Farsi in Iran
Thx for the info persian. I love the song and the sound of Gilaki even though I don't understand what it says.
For whatever reason Tajik Dari (as in tajik singing) sounds very sweet in my ear. I wonder if that is something that Iranians agree with or whether it is just an effect in my head because I don't speak the language and am barely at elementary level there.
That is true Najd. It does sound in my ear like that too ...
To tell you the truth folklore seems to be in a much healthier state in Iran than arabic countries these days, where the trend is to re-release folkloric songs but with western instrumentals.
Tajik Dari is indeed sweet, specially the songs and music. Your true reception shows your sweetness detector sensors output signal is accurate, calibrated and within specifications ...lol I think many Iranians agree with you, maybe some don't...but this is something to do with taste.
Here is what i am talking about. Some Nowruz celebration song from tajikistan. The pronunciation sounds completely different to me. The girl who is singing in tajik is having fun also.
Hi Modallas,I agree with you, despite being sound and simple , it's sweet, dari dialect pleasantly settles on heart. Each dialect has its own beauty, and Tajiki is certainly on the top. I think if they perfomed the song more professionally it would become even more appealing. Yes the pronunciation is quite different, that shows your Persian is improving. I have Tajik friends and attended their weddings. Absolutely fantastic, to some extent different from Iran, but more emotional and touching.
