I totally agree with Alex's comment about Blackest Night #2. I would venture to say that this is one of my favorite comics of all time. It's amazing. But the cramped feeling does get to me a little bit. I had to reread a 2nd and 3rd time to make sense of it all. And the monologue got kind of boring.

Comment about the show though. You should invite me (a girl) as a co host <.< GIRLS LOVE COMICS TOO!

Issue 2 drove me nuts cause I want to know what's going on in space and with zombie Kal-L. But I guess there has to be character stuff too. I'm all in for Adventure Comics, Pete I wish you loved more DC stuff. Jubilee was great in the first episode of the 90's X-Men! I'd love to watch you guys actually do improv.

Always loved Pete, big supporter of the Le Page but he's WRONG about Jubilee - she was so good back in the 90's and halfway thru GEN X the writers kinda gave up on her and she went crap. There were some fab Wolverine/Jubilee scenes - the 'Free Charlie' Deathbird story in the legendary Uncanny Xmen 275-277 springs to mind.

Chalk up another for the Jubilee love! It was cool to have our own Kitty Pryde character in the 1990s when Shadowcat was a grown-up all of a sudden for some reason (and then wasn't, and then was, and then wasn't again), so we had Jubilee and she was the everyman outsider looking in at the X-Men. Now that Jubilee's too old for the role, the comics have Pixie, I guess.

Is it weird that fictional characters 'have' to age? That seems odd.

Pixie? Really? She has zero edge. I'm not so sure on Fraction's X-men work. Hid Invincible Iron Man is utterly incredible but his X-Men is luke warm. If Claremont is back I say call back Scott Lobdell! lol

I think so... There's a lot of DC continuity, but they bend over backwards to make it new reader friendly.

That's the problem with a lot of people who consider themselves casual comic readers. Even when buying trades there's way too much continuity for most readers and people tend to get confused. That's why I enjoy Elseworld and alternate universe titles when it comes to the big two publishers.

I liked Blackest Night # 2 a lot but I agree it was cramped.

We had to wait a REALLY long time for Adventure Comics, but I think it was worth the wait. I liked the story, loved the art, and the back-up was interesting if not short. Still good!
