  • I didn't say it didn't sound fine (for the recording device being used) I'm just critiquing the recording environment, not the musicians. I'm using Event Precision 8 bi amped studio monitors and to my ears the room was a little lively. A little isolation on the drum kit could have helped. If your a drummer then I get it lol.

  • @Timmyboy I am pretty sure he uses a ZIldjian K Constantinople 22" Medium Ride with rivets. I believe...

  • Anyone know what ride Peter is using?

  • Kinda sad how erskine left yamaha for dw. Especially just before they unveiled the phx line of drums.

  • well this was very nice ! :D

H2 recorded this quite őerfect for such a small device

  • ¡Espléndida ejecución!

    Splendid performance!

  • Que calidad de sonido, que barbaro

  • Holy sh*t. These guys are good!

  • The room was a little to live and would have put the baffles around the drums but still sounded great. I have red book jazz albums that have sounded worst.

  • @benthemiester ill have to disagree, i think it sounded just fine :)

  • 5:54 "Cool" ahaha. That was amazing!

  • God Bless this man. I could listen to him all day for the rest of my life.

  • Nuchas gracias.!!!!!. FANTÁSTICO

  • What a band!

  • @ackeiswetter its all you need. when your playing this style of music.

  • Ive never heard peter playing straight ahead like that what a treat

  • Can everyone agree that these are really GOOD musicians? Everyone who uses the handheld recorder will not have this type of success. This would probably be best in an acoustic/quiet setting.

  • I love that he is just playing a four piece with two rides and the hats. I like to play all kinds of drum set ups but the classic 4 with two rides and the hats is my favoite, I always go back to it. It really makes you play creative.

  • Yep. With less stuff distracting your playing, it's easier to focus on the stuff that really matters: phrasing and touch.

  • thanks for posting this.

I love hear peter hitting a set of drums rocking and soloing. one of a kind. one of my favorites.

  • This is one of the best jazz clip on youtube.

    Thank you very much

  • notice the volyme! its only an H2 and it sound perfect. there's something to learn for the most musicians in the world!

  • Ed Livingston...loved playing with this dude in New Orleans. Not near as much as I wanted to!

  • Dam! Edwin is killing it!!!!!

  • Dear Jackinal... I hope you get this message. What settings do you have your H2 on and what are you recording? It all depends on the situation, as there are a few ways to make it more dynamic by proper placement, settings, etc...

  • Great playing!!!!

Man Peter is really one of my favorites!

  • hi im having a small problem with my H2, when i record my music it sounds kind of "flat", is there anyway to make it more "dynamic"?

  • that's in the playing mate.

One has got to distinct between when the recorder is doing a crappy job, and when the musicians are just not good.

  • no, it sounds good when i play it but on the recording it sounds shitty, i´ve solved this problem now so bye bye

  • Wicked bass solo! :D
