  • This song is so beautiful- the guitar is ethereal. This album is one of the best of the 90's. Thanks for posting!

  • i love this song and always will.

  • McCabe is a guitar hero.

  • @luistua1984 I don't know you of course but after listening to this song I totally agree with what you said it is hauntingly beautiful. I say this because I am huge Moody Blues Fan! This band reminds me of a reincarnation of the 60's style in someway. Beautiful Work "The Verve" a new fan of yours,

  • A beautiful mind or a beautiful body?

    why not both?...

  • heavenly sound

  • The greatest song ever written. My favourite album of all time!

  • and i feel 16 again, and i can't sleep again, and so i'm listening to the Verve. amazing how some things are timeless.

  • Richard looks like Mick Jagger... Mystical song.

  • always reminds me of that film 'a beautiful mind ' the one Russell Crowe is in.someone should use this song for montage.

  • Looks like Mick Jagger in some shots...

  • song of my dreams

  • Perfect - thanks for posting

  • the most beautifully awe inspiring guitar track ever recorded than this one

  • Great video that you've put together.

  • Makes me feel 16 years old... smoking on a hill in Newquay :-)

  • @mellowNdark that almost sound as amazing as the song right now :D

  • 1 of the best peices of musical sound ever made!. Thier whole album "A Storm In Heaven" is 1 of the 90's biggest overlooked gems until they got famous. Just like Radiohead's "The bends" was initially overlooked until they got really famous. This album fits quite nicely in the shoegazer style.. This was at heart a shoegazer album a little more heavy on the rock instruments instead of the distortion tonage. Beautiful lyrics!. Man I love dreamy music (imo) like this. No matter what style It is

  • @playaeyez17 the bends was overlooked? Do you mean Pablo Honey (which was actually relativity popular in the US) ...but The Bends broke Radiohead..which made OK Computer the anticipated album it was.

  • @playaeyez17 agreed, and I personally dislike their later stuff, they developed some mainstream tendencies

  • Great video! I thought it is the official!

  • Gracias, thank you luistua1984

  • @luistua1984 trankilaaaa aun asi es buen videooo = )

  • One of the best tracks ever by Verve. I only wish the 'The' was dropped before Verve. They are Verve, not 'The Verve'. I could go on and on.... but great track.

  • @KoffKoffus They were forced to change their name to The Verve because Verve records threatened to sue. I am looking at the album for A Storm in Heaven and Urban Hymns right now.

  • One of the best tracks ever by Verve. I only wish the 'The' was dropped before Verve. They are Verve, not 'The Verve'. I could go on and on.... but great track.

  • 4 people don't have a beautiful mind...

  • reminds me sigur ros

  • when I hear this song It's like being underwater :)

  • 4 people have no soul... how could you not like this??? very few songs could have the power to seriously make you wanna gaze at your shoes all day long...

  • @pessimystica Very true...well said. Maybe they hit the dislike button by accident?? This is an incredibly soulful track. The almost ghostly image of Richard at 0.24 is what makes this video special. Very nicely put together.

  • great mixed video!

  • Nick McCabe is an artist. He makes the guitar speak to you.

  • @corny165 You're SO RIGHT!

  • i love the video, i thought this would be the kind of video for it, very suspenseful and electric, five stars

  • Beautiful Mind is a truly excellent track by The Verve. Their music is very special, but this one in particular has a mellow, hypnotic aura of its own. The intro to this is what creativity is about.

  • hahaha when richard peeks through the door ahahha i know what he is thinking can i come out ive been there before lol

  • the feeling of this song is so atmospheric and mistical , but at the same time is emotional. its AWESOME!!!!!!

  • Muy bueno este video. ¡Me encanta!

  • @luistua1984 I don't know why this video doesn't have many more thumb-ups. I think it's a hauntingly beautiful, just like the song.

    Thanks for posting!.

  • i love this song...it´s so beautiful <3

  • serene to a higher level....

  • Besides being beautiful in all other ways, the man's got the most beautiful lips I've ever had the agony of getting hot over. *steam* OMG.

  • Awesome!

  • oh this is good... blew me away..

  • I feel like I'm in a sonic dream when I hear this. The Verve have the rare power to captivate all of your senses.

  • omfgosh

  • @RedsocksPugies I KNOW!!!!!! my favorite video dude an now that someone put a small soccer clip of a man creating a way to score a beautiful goal has mastered my life lol

  • What does a part of the video 'Show me how to live' by Audioslave has to be with this song man?...What the hell?...Anyways...the video is quite good ..despite that...and the song...well the song is astonishing.

  • this shit maaaan....

  • After "A Storm in Heaven" at least these 2 things should have happened:

    a) Statues of Nick McCabe being placed all over England

    b) The Queen making the album's producer (John Leckie) a "Sir".

    This album is unbelievable awesomeness.

  • richard ashcroft surely the best voice ENGLAND has produced by a million miles .

  • @dec222222 ... and nick mccabe the best guitarist !!

  • the first album by verve is such an amazing piece of work. it stands next to my bloody valentine's "loveless" and slowdives "souvlaki" as some of my favorite shoegaze masterpieces.

  • It almost looks like a strange preview for a film.

  • Awesome track

  • i have to say i like their later music better, but this is a good vid.

  • great upload thanks

  • so sad they couldnt get long ashcrofts words mcabes music as good as it gets

  • very true, i always thought that there was something very special about the combination of ashcrofts voice and mccabes guitar playing, it just flowed slow beautifully

  • fkn class .ashcroft a genius

  • so is nick mccabe, the guitarist. Urban Hymns was ashcroft's baby, but Storm in Heaven belonged to McCabe.

  • @LeftHandOfDarkness ..so very true, im an early verve fan, so yes McCabe was the main force behind it, thats what made the verve, their two minds brought together, pity its never in harmony....

  • like David Gilmour & Roger Waters in Pink Floyd. couldn't get along & they still don't speak.

  • @LeftHandOfDarkness , yes so true, blue, all in the mind, for me, were never really repeated, heard the reunion was over befor it really began,, but should you ever really go back..took me some time to get in to Forth...

  • great song, grreat vid to match.... well done.....

  • Song is surreal, video fits it very well.

  • You've captured the spirit of this song very well. Thank you for complementing a beautiful song with your creativity and sharing it with the rest of us.

  • Having listened to this album for the first time on clear sound headphones, it was one of the great moments for me in the journey of Indie music (or any type of music for that matter). This band had vision and depths that many successful groups could only aspire to reach. Tremendous track! I was only 4 tracks in and I knew I was listening to something special. Storm in Heavan hopefully will become the most influencial album of this coming generation that continues to seek the next sound.

  • great song and video!

  • That was absolutely amazing, thank you for making this.

  • I saw the Verve on this tour. They did a special show in LA for Virgin at the Mayan. I wasn't even tripping, but I felt as if I were. I used to listen to this CD out in Joshua Tree and commune with aliens and good earthlings. Cactus lysergic magic.

  • one of my favorite songs from the verve. and you who uploaded this video did a good job!

  • so beautiful...

  • beatiful,beatiful...

  • @ravitzuferromejorado best video of my life after coming down its about being as free as a bird

  • right you are The Verve have always been ahead of their time creating music from the soul giving it a phsycidelic sound and shoegazer feel always reinventing themselves with every new album but sticking with the same mind set

  • amazing that the band wrote his when the were only 21..SO ahead of their time.

  • Great vid to one of my fave Verve tracks.

  • I liked it. Thanks for sharing.
