  • U are not describ. inclusion. That is "dumping" students w/ sp needs in gen.ed.-a losing strategy for all. Inclusion req. for the GE teacher to receive approp. training & support to succeed. Typically, the OT, SPL, behaviorist, autism coach or sp. ed teacher to co-teach and or provide consultation serv. Check statistics--supported classrooms have shown to benefit BOTH children with sp. needs & typical develp. children learn more & obtain higher score in stand. testing

  • The purpose of this video was to bring forth the misconception so many teachers and other professionals in the educational setting have about inclusion. There is a second part to this video that clears up the misconceptions that this video brings to light. Its title is Part 2: Barriers of Inclusion. Check it out. I, along with everyone else in this video, believe that inclusion can be successful with proper training and collaboration of all professionals.

  • Way to go girls...I think this was a very honest representation of how people genuinely feel about inclusion. Many of these things people face on a daily basis within the schools. JS
