The Title "4x4=12" was given to Deadmau5's new album due to a prank others played on Deadmau5 during an interview. As Deadmau5 tried to explain his set-up for his shows, he stated " My math sucks, but Yeah it's set up into four planks of four which equals 16." In which someone replied "nah dude that's 12." afterward everyone else caught on to the joke and seeing as he was being fooled, Deadmau5 decided to name his next album after the incident.
