@aran08504 My hair can take some silicones like amodimethicone but I don't use them all of the time. Trust me they're not totally evil but you have to go by your hair's preference

i agree about the jessicurl wdt.. dissappointing as a DT, I tried to get rid of it but nobody wanted it so i tried it as a leave in (well actually over a little bit of KBB hair milk) and LOVE it.. my braidout was so soft & shiny! But more importantly it stayed that way all day.. im going to test it out the rest of the week but for now its lovely!

i use the balm sometimes before i start to twist on braid about a quarter size amount. the hair elixir i add to my hair right after rinsing most of my conditioner out. i try to switch it up depending on the style and the day.
that is so weird, i've been to the Harlem store when i visit new york a few times and they were always friendly. I guess it depends on the day. i learned that some of CD products work differently on different people. I just learned to use them in different ways, i use the hair milk after i put on leave in conditioner. the CD leave in conditioners were not made to detangle my hair with ease....so i use it as a daily moisturizer .
My aunt gave me the CD hair balm and I couldn't stand the smell (wayyyyyyy too strong for me) and I ended up throwing it away after about one use and it collecting dust in my bathroom cabinet for a year...
I'm so happy that you warned people about Carol's Daughter. I ordered their hair milk and after waiting for a month and a half never received anything, all the while still contacting the company through emails and phone calls. It was only after I demanded a refund that they decided they would send me the hair milk, which i didn't even like. I swore to never to order anything from them again because their customer service was so horrible. I hope your friend gets her situation corrected.
For the Carol's Daughter products, go to Sephora or Macy's so that you can return it if you don't like it. At the Carol's Daughter store, you cannot get a refund or exchange it for another product. You can only exchange it for the very same product.

I like the hair balm too...it reminds me of royal crown hair grease (yuck) but it doesn't sit on top of your hair collecting dust!

I have never had a problem getting my products from Carols Daughter I order all the time. I'm in Kansas and Sephora never has all the products here.
