  • hey im from couva and i have a wii

  • <-- Checkout my complete easy step-by-step Wii hacking videos.

  • it would be cheaper to buy one instead of risking your money to build one that probably wont work

  • @2DMARIO5000

nah, this is simple electronics. I think its worth it and it looks fun to build too.

  • i built one of these to mess up camera fotos a couple of years back

  • WHAT A GEEK

  • does the pen really need a capacitor or can it be made without one??

  • @slavezero1117 without

  • $150...Really. What made it so expensive?

  • Trinidad currency, not USD. USD you're looking at around 10 bucks.

  • Oh... Sweet, I thought it was USD. My bad.

  • the 2 wii remotes dahhhhhhhhh

  • The capacitor is a great idea. You can buy about 100 micro switches on ebay for $10 plus shipping, or I don't know if you have 99 cent only stores where you are but they sell a little 99 cent FM scan radio that has two micro switches and a lot of other useful parts inside of it.

  • If you separate the circuit with the LED using a switch and add a spring, you'll have a pen that activates when you press.

  • can you tell me the specifications of the led you use?

  • OH! My bad. Not US dollars-- TT. So about $5 USD a pen. Sorry guys. Nice job.

  • Nicely done... But $150 for 2 pens!?!?

I did more or less the same thing with dry erase pens but no capacitor and powered it with watch/calculator batteries--about $20 for 4 pens.

  • My base model is $5.50 shipped, on ebay. Select a pen from user shakespeare1212.

  • Great job, I've been doing a lot of research, I was wondering, should I get a capacitor just for safe measure?

  • ì hear a wii in the background

  • @Frankfurtxxl - yes, we had a Wii connected so that we could play afterwards!

  • @ Brenzil:

$150 for both pens? You can get all that shit for under $5!

you forgot about the wii mote dork...

  • the wii mote only cost 30 bucks so total cost would be about $35 idiot

  • The world does NOT run on US currency - I'll make it simple for you - 150 of our dollars is about 20 of yours. Try to remember that everything in the caribbean that is technology hardware has to be imported, and that adds to the cost - if you can get it for 5 dollars, I am happy for you - go to it.

  • word dey got served

  • please ... would you like to say me what is the exactly name of the coffee thing that is near to the LED.

  • Coffee thing? The only thing that is next to the LED is a tantalum capacitor - you can get them at Radio Shack if you are in North America, or just hunt round electronics parts places. You can also use other capacitors, but they are physically bigger, so they are not as convenient. Tantalum capacitors are also more accurate (not really a factor here) and also more expensive.

  • Thats $150 TT (Trinidad and Tobago dollars). The exchange rate is roughly $6.3 TT to 1 US dollar which works out to about $24 US

  • $150 for both pens? You can get all that shit for under $5!

  • I just built mine like an hour ago, the total cost for $9.36

  • Multiply that by 2 for for two pens, and you come up with almost the same price that we paid.

  • Video quality is decent. Might want to put the presentation itself up on scribd, or similar site.
