The first Indy movie I saw was Temple of Doom. I didn't like it at first but then I saw this one- and now I am an Indiana Jones expert- ask me anything about Indy Jones and I'll tell ya'.
@LEGOIndy333 temple of doom aint as bad as people say, ok theres too many kids but some of the setpeice action scenes are amazing. coal carts scene is Spielberg at his best
As a genuine movie lover, I can't think of a more memorable movie theme in history. Out of all of them, Star Wars, Jaws, E.T., Superman, 2001: A Space Oddysey, I think this one stands out the most as being the most memorable. When you hear, you know there's gonna be something adventurous and epic to come. Long live Spielberg, Long Live John Williams!!!
Few movie themes hit home as intense as Raiders... Every time i hear this song I instantly scale back to being a kid watching Dr. Jones pummeling Nazis, escaping booby-trapped tunnels, and always saving the girl!
I remember my Indiana Jones In The Temple Of Doom lunch pale back in '85. I remember seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark for the first time then in the mid 80's as a little kid. I remember rocking to the theme! I saw Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade in the theatre in 1989!!! My favorite scene of all three Indiana Jones 80's installments .... was in Raiders of the Lost Ark - he swam to the U-Boat & the Black Captain & all were looking for him and the captain spots him - they cheer + theme!! Nostalgia
Time ago, far far away, Long Time ago, Far far away. KISS A WOOKIE, KICK A DROID, FLY THE FALCON THROUGH AN ASTEROID, TILL THE PRINCESS IS ANNOYED! THIS IS SPACESHIPS, ITS MONSTERS, ITS STAR WARS WE LOVE IT, ITS TRUE, EPISODE III, COMING TO YOU, 2005. SO LETS GO STAND LINE, MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU ALL!!!!!!! JOHN WILLIAMS IS THE MAN
Dude the fact that they changed the name to indiana jones and the raiders of the lost ark is assinine. It sounds awful how many THEs can you pit in one title. Hey Lucas stop changing your films. If you want to change something in your films why don't you digitally delete Jake Loyd and Hayden Christianson from your shitty star wars trilogy
chill out man...I can find far more to complain about in lucas's meddling than just the title of this film. besides at least this change it makes sense since all of the sequels have indiana jones in the title. and as for your question, twice. that's how many times 'the' is used, not that many times really.
Instead of the inexplicable end that seemed tacked on in Indy 4, there should've just been a giant picture of George Lucas sitting on a throne made of gold and money, giving the audience the finger.
Ever since I was 7 yrs old, hearing the Raiders theme has always made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Best action/adventure film of all time...
@LEGOIndy333 it does compared to the other indies compared to the rest of the films out at the same it was 1 of the best, i think MonkeyZorr is a twilight fan only way i can explain the bad taste
@MonkeyZorr How the hell you can say it sucked when there is turd like twilight out ive no idea, until that film is wiped from history no-one has any right to claim indy 4 sucks
@MonkeyZorr obviously your an idiot that has no taste in movies if you think that may not be the best indy but like i said better than the rest of the crap that came out at the same time
Uh, can you like, change your poster to an ORIGINAL one that DOESN'T read "INDIANA JONES AND THE". It's RAIDERS and only RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. The heck is wrong with you.
After this film I realized what Adventure movie means! It was full of action, funny and entertaining scenes. Harrison Ford and Karen Allen were stunning. Too bad Karen was absent in 2nd and 3rd movies.
WWIJD? (What would Indiana Jones do?) Its a question I ask myself from time to time...and unfortunatly the answer isn't something I can always get away with lol
Raiders: When I was a child, back in 1982, my father bought me a Raiders of the Lost Ark record. I watched the movie about five times in the theatre, thought about Raiders all the time and my father bought me the LP, 33 RPM.
Lost: My stepmother broke the record. It was something she saw that I like, so that sadistic asshole broke the record. The misery and sadness she caused me then, a 12 year old boy. The gloat on her face. I would like to kill that goddamned bitch. I think she is dead.
Is the YouTube community really the people to be telling this to? Therapist or a counselor seems more appropriate(and odds are they can help you a looot more than anyone on here can, haha)
I remember sitting in the theater in 1981. Back then they did things like play this very piece as people filed into the movie theater. They do this sometimes at IMAX movies, but the normal movies have those dumb ads - totally ruins the atmosphere. I think there should be a petition to bring back intro music to the theater. It really sets the tone for the movie. I loved listening to this and just waiting in anticipation for the curtain to open. I was 12 years old in 1981.
Dude, that's amazing! my band class played this at a concert!

Not only is the Raiders March one of the best movie themes ever, but the version used in Raiders of the Lost Ark is the best of the four.

noble, that reminds me of a old story from The Netherlands in 1933.
a child named Ciske, had a book from his best friend, who died 2 days earlier....
and he couldnt stop reading, so his mother ripped the book apart!!!
so he stabbed the mother in the neck with a knife!!!!!!!!
she died.......
kinda sad, but you need to see the movie first....
its called Ciske De Rat and you can watch it on youtube!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
