@noirkitten Once the thorn and Dr. Wynn started being introduced, I kind of lost interest. Just too jumbled of a storyline between all the films. H20 makes no mention of the previous years and pretty much continues where H2 left off. In my honest opinion, 6 was the worst of the movies, followed by Ressurection.

And with this 3d version supposedly coming out, jesus christ, they're butchering the entire series. Too much story expansion and not enough left to the viewer.

Meyers is not supposed to be a sympathetic character he IS supposed to be a faceless terror. He was a faceless blank slate for the audience to in a way project their own fears onto. The character you're supposed to care about is Laurie. but Zombie screwed that up by making her an obnoxious twat you wanted to see killed.

Why shouldn't you feel sympathy? it makes him seem more human which are in fact the real monsters. i think it's part of zombie's genius when he takes these cruel seemingly heartless characters and you find yourself feeling bad for them. You're still afraid of them, you just see them in a more humanistic angle. It's genius! and it is much better than the original which makes me chuckle slightly. I love zombie's grittiness!
