i don't think it's the exact same sample, tho...Boo's laugh is longer by a few more chunks and clearly has some echoing to it...but seeing as both samples originate from SM64, they are most likely derivations of the same recording...

I was with a friend of mine at a music store and we were messing around with the keyboards. There was a voice effect that we found could duplicate both Bowser's and Boo's laugh's perfectly. Maybe that's how Nintendo did it.

I noticed that Mario Party 5's "You win!" mini-game theme sounds like a REALLY happy speed up version of the "Locked Door" theme in SM64. It's almost of as if during MP5's development, they were looking for a "win" theme and SOMEHOW got themselves to listen to SM64's locked door theme speed-ed up, and thought that it sounded pretty good.
