I found when I played this game as a kid that if you play the game on full speed the errors won't come up for whatever reason. At least with the cd version I have

You know, you can cheat & increase the speed in the control panel to make him walk faster in the swamp? Just hit the + key at the beginning of each swamp screen.

The tree's fruit gives mana.

One of the best gags in the game is if you try to grab it w/o the fetch spell.

"The fruit withers away at your grasp. Must be that low cal kind."

Other than running in the latest version of DOSBox, no, sorry; that's all that worked for me.

if you have the Quest for Glory Anthology or Collection, they saved a game specifically for that problem - you start the game but you already have the ritual. and you dont get to do the beginning in the bone cave and stuff, but it beats not being able to do the game.

Even in Dosbox, with the game patched, battles still move at an insanely fast speed...

Do I have to do something special in Dosbox to stop that?

The usual advice: Patch your game with all the patches, play in DOSBox, and make sure that the pointer hits all the letters.

I'm sure you probably mentioned it before but I am assuming the combat in this one is automated? Also when you save because you know your going to die from something, you should pause the video to keep the "suspense", just suggestion. Great job so far though I always love these videos 5 stars!!!

Hey, couldn't you loot the skeleton in the swamp near the monolith? I thought you could... or did you in the last video and I forgot?

The game doesn't even acknowledge the skeleton with a message when you look at it. You can't do anything with it.

You know, that "Started game" saved game isn't really necessary, since Sierra thoughtfully chose to put a "Restart game" option in the system menu :-) Just teasing, great videos as usual! Keep up the great work!!

I just keep it around because it's where I imported the character... That way, I don't lose all the magnificent progress I made in importing the character in case I should want to start over with the same character for whatever reason. It's just SO HARD TO IMPORT!! =)

I didn't know how to open the monolith to get the bone ritual but it eventually opened up on its own after I had been clicking around for a while. Could be due to my high lock picking skill tho.
