  • This is just...spot on. I know people online, and in real life who act like this.

Just watching this makes me laugh :') I'm so glad I never had a weeaboo phase.

  • @Emmma360 You don't know what you missed...

  • Ahaha, even though my whole channel is nearly J pop I find this extremely hilarious!! The teacher lol!! XD

  • @RyanChaseProductions because theyre all by the same user that uploaded this

  • @automaticgamr That's really not true at all. its just that the people who really do act like that stand out a lot.

It's like when you think that everyone in the world is a douchebag, when it turns out that a lot of people are nice and the people that are dicks stand out and represent everyone.

  • I hate the way a lot of American people pronounce "anime" as "ANIMAAAAY". No. It's "animeh-"! Rant over ~

  • am i the only one who thinks this is the funniest thing ever? and i am an anime fan and I an totally NOT like this. I barely qualify being a fangirl

  • kawaii :)

  • just to clerify, not all anime fans are like this....

  • きもーい

  • "None of you are Japanese" lol XD

  • And just think, there are people out there who probably think their outfits are cute and find the theme song catchy :P

  • Needs more desu.

  • I am an anime fan myself and had a great time laughing at this. When one is made fun of, it's best to laugh as well! Though I do love the professor here :)

  • This was so painful to watch. Painfully true.

    Took me like an hour.

  • "My girfriend is Japanese!"

*camera switches to what looks like Carol Beer*

    LMFAO XD

  • All they needed was desu and kawaii in every sentence lol

  • This here is a case of "it's funny because it's true"

  • Comment removed

  • Oh. My. F*(k.

  • "Kura kichi nichi komonawaaaaaaaaaa!!

Sura kama niti komo na riteeeeee!!

J POP AMERICAN FUN TIME NOW!!"

    Thank kyoru

    HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE ..OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH:)

  • I'm a Japanese myself, but this is pretty funny.

    I LIKE IT

  • Leaves me in tears every time.

  • Freaking hilarious! Yeah, everyone knows that not ALL anime fans are like that. But there really are some that are THAT bad, which just makes this even more hilarious. If you can't find the humor in this then you are either taking it way too personally or you honestly find the skit too relatable.

  • wow, I mean wow........

  • Lol ACCURATE of so many weeboos around. I love the professor though~

  • うわ。。。。こりゃひどいわw だめだこりゃw

Wow. This is just over doing it @_@ I'm Japanese myself but...aiya....

  • @IIHeadphoneIIYashaII There are plenty in this country who think this way.

  • @RetroToledo Yeah I know...I've been made fun of because people thought this way but...it can't be helped.

  • I really dig the professor on this skit...since so many anime otaku think that's how the japanese people act sometimes...that is so far from the truth...

  • 日本人は挨拶の時に手を合わせたりしない。

  • @demonkogure これマジでゆってんのかww

  • @lenawash 冗談やと思いますよ、この動画はw まあ日本人の事をこう思ってる人は山ほどいますがね^_^;

  • My first thought: Pixyteri.

  • The teacher explains the weeboo culture so well

  • Art imitates life. >w<

  • goddamn weeaboos

  • ...Why the hell is science and smart stuff in the suggestions of such a dumb video?

  • i feel highly insulted

  • @animenewbie420 You must be a weeaboo then.

  • @marillblu yes i am. but i do not act like this at all. and thats what i feel so insulted over.

  • @animenewbie420

If you are a weeaboo, you DO act like this. There is a difference between otaku (American definition) and weeaboo. All weeaboos are otakus but not all otakus are weeaboos. I hope you know the difference.

  • @marillblu i really dont know what a weebo is. but i do know what otaku is. so am an otaku. i just really like anime. and i dont go prancing around thinking im this anime character. or try talking like that all the time. the only time i want to cosplay is during conventions. that is all.

  • MFW Candy Candy is an actual anime

    O.o

  • @Artenuga You learn something new each day!

  • I like how they made this sketch really embarrassing to watch. I wonder what it feels like to be completely unaware of Japanese culture (anime, etc) and see this sketch

  • I clicked on "CC", but I got nothing. =(

  • I love that their making fun of weebs but the fact that people are going to think that all anime fans are like this know instead of just the die hard obseesed that don't act like complete morons OTL

  • This brings back horrible memories of my weeb day. I love them for that but a lot of people I know are idiots who are going to think I act like this at home. Ot go up to me and go "OOOOOOHHH"

  • Is this phenomenon really widespread enough to justify this sketch? I had always hoped these Japan fantasists were rare and unsurprisingly, outcast weirdoes.

  • @Feathershield Widespread, but oh-so-very-populous. Actually, if anything, I feel like the whole Japanophile epidemic is gradually growing since the gradual integration of anime as "mainstream".

So in the future, we can look forward to whole nuclear wars over waifus.

  • @Feathershield YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW.

Weeaboos are so funny this sketch was amazing. People who are complaining are weeaboos.

  • I can't stop grinning.

  • LOL at all the weaboos BAAWWWWWWING about this sketch.

  • OK cheap shot SNL...kind of like every SNL cast member since the 90's, everyone of them has had a cheap shot.

  • @SNEAUX2 nah, this was an awesome shot!

  • wtf... i have NEVER heard the tearm weeaboo before in my LIFE except on this comment thread??? I guess u mean an otaku (anime nerd)? But as an anime fan... I gotta say, it's sad and painful to watch because I knew 2 guys in college who acted like this lol... Sad, sad, sad. I actually read a paper written by a psychologist about the trend of anime in america and he concluded it really stems from american children who feel rejected from their own culture which they want to be desperately apart of.

  • @KendrasPhilosophies A weeaboo is a word to mean someone who idolizes Japan to the point of wanting to be Japanese, rather than their own race. They have a limited understanding of Japan and think it's a 'kawaii paradise!!!!' full of gay boys, pretty girls, and nice people everywhere.

  • @KendrasPhilosophies Just wanna say, Otaku is actually a derogatory term meaning "house" such as one who lives in their home with their hobbies. Sad thing is weeaboos throw that word around like a badge of honor.

  • @KendrasPhilosophies Weeaboo is a commonly used term. Someone can be an anime nerd, but they can always go one step further and pretend that they're Japanese. There are extremely annoying girls out there who dresses absurdly and goes around attempting to speak Japanese, very much like the people in this skit.

  • @augustrunsred But you can not say that just because someone dresses in Japanese styles that he is a weeaboo... He just enjoys fashion and I do not think that is wrong. I wear Japanese clothes and I learn Japanese... but I also love Germany, France and London (yes, the city). If you love a culture that is not wrong. I think a weeaboo should not be someone that loves Japan but someone that acts that he knows something and does not in reallity.

  • .....that was painfuru xD いたいよ~

  • This is so cringe worthy. I honestly almost had to change the channel because of how embarrassing this is, and I'm not even like that but I know people like that and it's more accurate than it seems.

  • Ah... I'm 42 and I have just downloaded "Candy Candy" in ITALIAN (I don't speak a word of it) and I have been teaching Manga for the last 10 years. I so know people like that and I'm so worried I'm one of them.

  • @balanblonde2 We all were there too!

  • @RetroToledo Thank you. Now I know if I'm weird I'm not alone. You're sweet.

  • @RyanChaseProductions I was wondering that myself. xD

  • lol I kinda find this funny. Even though most (NOT ALL) the stuff they said kinda sounds like me... though I'm actually good at Japanese :P

  • Sillyrr sillyrrr Americanshu

  • "OOOOOHHHHHHHH" :)

  • "HEHEEHEHHEHEHEHEHEH ..OOOOOHHHHHHHH" :)

  • " And I am from Daytona Beachuru"

  • none of these comments are words

  • To be honest this is painful to watch, not because it's bad. No, it's actually really good.

It's painful because I know a couple of people like this in real life...

  • Well, they did kill Goth Talk. They needed to make fun of another subculture.

  • >implying anybody other than weeaboos will get this anyways

  • hahaha i love this!!!!

  • I think this accurately represents 90% of the anime fanbase.

  • too true

  • I actually know people like this. hjghkhgkghfghkgf

  • lol wtf >D?

  • This is extremely accurate to the weaboos at school.

  • OMG people that ARENT taking japanese class are arent Japanese shouldn't say kawaii. I keep saying that ffff x.x

  • I laughed and cringed a lot during the duration of this video =P more cringing than laughing though.

  • Actually Nihon-jin means Japanese people. :/ How could they not pick up a English- Japanese dictionary? In their over obsessive-ness.

  • @Nags I feel like the joke just flew a mile of your head.

  • @Nags I hope you realise the word 'Japanese' (the English word) can mean 'Japanese people' or 'Japanese language'. Just like you can say English for people from England or the language English or Chinese for Chinese people or Chinese language. They were completely correct in saying that.

  • The guy in this video does NOT look happy. LOL

  • 2:11 made me die MEET THE GUESTDURAH!

  • It...hurt to watch...because they exist...

  • I can't laugh at this o.o

I mean its a little to true to what weeaboos act like that I just find it annoying and not a parody..

  • I feel bad now. I just bought a Sailor Moon costume from Hot Topic :(

  • this is why i dont join anime clubs at colleges.. because most of the people are a lot like this.. oh god. maybe not this extreme, but theyre pretty annoying

  • @halo6842 I felt that way too. My interests in it are far beyond what goes on in 'em.

  • Thumbs up if you had dumbasses like this in your Japanese class.

  • How does she know about Candy Candy? Weeaboos don't know anything other than Narutu, Blech, and whatever else airs on Adult Swim.

    Also,

Rose of Versailles > Glass Mask > Candy Candy

  • @dtimmo001 Yeah, they could've done those other shows instead.

  • @dtimmo001 FINALLY! Someone that understands that if you like anime and Japan that you are not a weeaboo. People that do not eaven know what anime really is are really misunderstanding this video. A weeaboo (I hope I am speling this wright, because we use a difrent word where I live) is someone that does not know anything or maybe just a little about Japan and just acts like he knows anything. Most weeabos just like Japan because they see cute boys and some animes and do not really know much.

  • This is very equal to a japanese TV show!

  • What I REALLY like about this hilarious skit is that the teacher is right - the idiots who act like this are often being borderline racist. And all the while they assume they're being open-minded and unique...

  • @LazyPinkPanda ikr? the teacher is the only one that makes sense. before he came in, i was like "These kids aren't even Japanese! and i don't even speak Japanese, but i know what they're saying is made up."

  • @Poofenten3799 Some of the Japanese words are correct but misused. Japanese isn't hard I don't understand how people can't seem to speak it right. If any language in the Orientate it's Mandarin :/

  • @Nags Learning a new language is different for everyone. Some may pick it up others don't. Japanese isn't the hardest, but it's definitely not easy.

  • Is this supposed to be entertaining?

  • Dear sweet jesus. This is what I see at every convention T_T

  • This will serve, I guess...as a temporary placeholder for weeaboo stories

  • I hope that they more skits based of of these, there's definitely enough material out there.

  • This needed to happen.

  • Well, I like Candy Candy :D

  • This is probably the first SNL skit that has made me laugh seriously in years. Also, props for totally nailing the attitude of the majority of weaboos..though they could've been slightly more obnoxious.

  • ACCURATE.

  • I dont think they were obnoxious enough. Pretty damn funny though.

  • anyone gettin mad about this video sees themselves in it

  • well I ain't no weeaboo at least

  • LOL dem weeaboos. :P At least the fandom is acknowledged lol

  • Lol @ Sensei Marc. No, no one says that in Japan xDDDDD

I listen to both Korean and Japanese music, but I luckily don't fall into this category of fans. Japanese music actually has some really talented musicians and good composers, but people are often mistaken by that because of these kind of people xD

  • They should go to anime cons, this could pan out for a dozen skits easily.

  • This = almost everyone at our Japanese conversation tables.

  • Wolololololo

  • LOL. This is so funny! So there are actual anime fans who got offended by this? Lol. Weeaboos.

I'm an anime fan and this was hilarious!

  • God this is hilarious. I live in Japan (and teach English), but was never too much of a weeaboo. But I knew a guy who was exactly like this. Ended up failing out of his classes because he thought watching anime counted as studying

  • @tactilecacti I think it depends on the person... I have learned English and German from cartoons and also Japanese. But you need to learn how to write too, so tv will not help you much there. But many people that I know have perfect English and have never studied it.

  • @Puffyko Certainly learning a language helps out through studying.

  • @tactilecacti Sounds so typical.

  • disturbingly, stupidly funny. ya gotta laugh.

  • Too realistic.

  • @NewJpopReleases And yet they still idolize American stars and try to pick up American culture. Nice try there.

  • That theme song is so freaking catchy, and I'm not even japanese.

  • Comment removed

  • sugoi! honto ni tanoshii yokatta ne....

  • To be honest, they arent makeing fun of japan. They are makeing fun of weeaboos, and I love them for that.

  • anna farris is a strange kind of hot chick....she's somehow hot and ordinary all at the same time

  • lmao none of those are words! fo real

  • daytona beaharu

  • jason sudeikis looks a lot like dennis quaid in this

  • @asdasdqweqwe2131 Thay aren't making fun of Japan -_- They are making fun of weeaboos who are obsessed with japan. Weeaboos act EXACTLY like this. You obviously didn't get the joke -_-'

  • @asdasdqweqwe2131 Well arnt you smart.......

    NO!

they are making fun of weeboo's

AKA White or any super american born kid or teen usually who is obsessed with Japan and act Japanese and mis pronounce words and feel they are japanese. if anything , weeboos are the ones being offensive.

  • @MahdiRanger If they really wanted to nail the weeaboo attitude they could have "glomped" their teacher hahaha

  • @MinishCactus I glomp and I'm not a weeaboo, its just a fun way to hug.

  • @SamuriX2010 definitely not fun to receive glomps. I've been on the receiving end of many and they huuuurt.

  • @MinishCactus they're fun for me :D well then again I"m sturdy enough to withstand the full force of a glomp.

  • @MahdiRanger

Not even just American. There are also tons of them in England and Mexico. Weeaboos are a problem to everybody. Ony through global unity may we vanquish this loud, candy-colored evil.

  • @BlackLuna0 So true man, I cracked up reading the comments at crunchyroll, seeing them get all butthurt and shit. It was pathetic. It's like they pretty much know deep down that this skit is accurate.

  • @Dn8Free I actually kind of lost my temper and replied to several, doing the text equivalent of shrieking with disapproval at their lack of humor. Oops! Oh well, it's the internet.

  • @BlackLuna0 They'll get over it. If they ever grow up...

  • Lmfao!!! This reminds me of all those shows on NHK that I grew up with:)

  • hihihihihiihi

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!

  • >;(

    >mfw there are weebs like this.

also the dude reminds me of Sosuke from Go-Onger.

  • @EBPyeah HAHA.. yea the hair def

  • ITV: Weeaboos.

  • I almost pissed myself I was laughing so hard
