  • He didn't belong to this world. He was an artist's vision of life.....<3

  • Marilyn Manson stole all his style from this man here.

  • @SimulacronX I Totaly agree. I used to tell that, to my friends they Would said Rozz Who?

  • @jesuhs One more good guy, cheers to you. Yes, sad times, ignorance is a plague, not bliss.

  • How populary iz Christian death ? please answer me

  • ……. Tragic that as brilliant a poet as Rozz Williams was that he had to end his life to be heard more … twice as bright burned his light, but only half as long ~ (•8-o

  • oh my god ....

    he is so perfect

  • Fine man...fine voice and muzic....fine life....and fine death....

  • Haha Rozz, he even has a pimp stick. He's a god.

  • how this guy ,its ashame some heavy stuff ther music . i dig it . rude

    dog

  • Rozz, thank you for giving us so much wonderful music and poetry. Your artistry is, was, and will always be a thing of beauty appreciated by a lucky few who had and took the opportunity to appreciate it. I never knew you personally, but you're sorely missed.

  • Rozz, we love you and will never forget you! 1334! Memento Mori!

  • He's so hot! He always puts some awesome energy on his performances.

  • como se llama el live??

  • I never met him, sadly, though I got to know one of his former drummers. We have since lost touch unfortunately. I remember the dreadful fallout of emotions in my circle, after 4/1/98. Rozz thank you dear for all you've created and done for shaping my life and others.

  • I was fortunate to be at this show. In spite of Rikk Agnew's temper tantrum, it was a helluva great performance. For all of his personal problems, Rozz Williams was a great artist.

  • Goddamn I miss Rozz! Such a beautiful soul, and abody to match. I wish I'd been around in time to see him. Wherever he is, he's entertaining

  • great video !

  • beautiful ROZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • Thanks Anexia23 realy only 55' he dose not look it ,more 5,.9 at least

Let me ask you, or anyone who might know what was Rozz's day job he must have done some kind of a job? or jobs as most creative people have a few odd jobs to pay the bills.

  • Oddly enough, he actually was not that great at other ventures in his life.

  • beautiful ♥

  • dose any one know how tall rozz was?

  • @venccity

I met him on this reunion tour. he is definately not over 5'5" very gracious and sweet man.

  • I think it doesn´t important :-P

  • what a great voice and wonderful lyrics. No movies to honor this fallen hero though...how sad.

  • Wow Rozz Williams. I used to see them play at Helter Skelter on Sunset Blvd. all the time. Talk about way back!

  • You witnessed history my friend.

  • LUCKY SON OF A BITCH!!!! XD

i wish he never killed himself(thank you captain obvious ) he might still be touring XD

  • It's not that I'm rubbing it in. But back then they'd play the "Hollywood Live" venue quite a bit. This is the same venue that the Jimi Kimmel show is taped today. I must have been about 14. After that they started "Shadow Project" etc. It was just a normal thing in Hollywood. They were a very active band and you could catch them at least once a month somewhere in the area. That's just the way it was in Hollywood back then. It was the scene at the time.

  • @bostero1 - I saw a lot of those shows as well. Shadow Project put on better shows IMO....Rozz seemed to be a bot more into it usually. I seem to remember the CD show at Helter Skelter being pretty bad.

haha, I always wondered if that Hollywood Live place was where Kimmel was at now....

  • The Hollywood Live is in fact now where Jimmy Kimmel hosts his show. Same exact place.

  • hahah remember hollywood hahaha!

  • another dead poet.

    RIP RoZZ

  • Rozz, a poet without any peers. His talent and voice will live forever.

  • not many published poets it's true

    a rare gift indeed!

Rozz was influenced by all those French Poets and probably felt way out of place here on Earth.

  • /watch?v=fFH0khjgA0U

  • I've heard in an interview that Marilyn Manson (Brian Warner) wrote Rozz a fan letter. You can definently see the influence.

  • Racism if the belief that your own race is superior than any others not how many jokes you crack. Also the Swaztika is even used by Buddhists, actually literally means "that which is associated with well-being."

I think it is stupid if you have crack jokes about people's differences you are racist. I know some Native Americans who crack more racist jokes than anyone I know. I think it is true that only a white male can be be racist and are unfairly called one.

  • the swastika dates far beyond Buddhism though;it goes back to the Proto Indo-Europeans which make up the largest ethnicity in the world and has spawned many religions from Jainism,Buddhism,Hinduism,Sikhism and Zoroastrianism and those are only the creation of one group(The Indo-Iranians);there are also the Balto-Slavs,Armenian,Grecian,Italic,Germanic,Albanian,Celtic,Tocharian,Anatolian and the like and their are still more to come if you understand the Kurgan Hypothesis.

  • There's a symbol in Buddhism that is a mirror image of what the Nazis used. So what? That justifies using it? That like saying it's perfectly acceptable to use a fetus as a football because it might've grown up to be a football player. How the fuck does one in any way relate to or justify the other?

  • The actual word comes from the word svastika which means a lucky object. We all also know it has been greatly passed around that Hitler was pretty superstitious so that'd make sense.

That metaphor is totally different though. First off Rozz is not killing anybody, and second off it's all based off of assumption. It's like saying because Rozz has the Nazi flag he is automatically a racist and a killer.

A lot of Rozz's work was satirical and about stage presence. Don't think it was literal.

  • Then again that's just my opinion.

  • that's right--he seemed to be more of a socialist and wanted people to see the "under current of injustice" in America.

Often this did use Nazi imagery...sometimes i think he wanted attention though. Like his halloween concert in Philly.

he was also a product of the underground punk scene in his area, and not "gothic" by choice--it was his own thing.

  • the sun wheel represents occult and esoteric beliefs...other people just see it as balance in the universe and the karmatic response of the universe to humanity, or maybe just the mystical function of the rhealm we live in.

  • This is my favourite song from Only Theatre Of Pain.

  • esa rola es genialy rozz wiliam es o mas bien dicho fue un buen vocal

  • rozz wasnt rascist, he was just obsessed by the idea of human stupidity and the flowers it produced

  • no, his holyness rozz wasn't a racist. but he had a naziflag in his room and made jokes about jews. not the right toys to play with, i think ...

  • buenas lunas..

    Saludos.

  • FROM VIDEO VHS GOTHIC INDUSTRIAL

  • Gitane told in a interview, that Rozz had a Naziflag in his sleepingroom, over his bed. Valor and him used to make jokes about coloured people, she told.

  • Who hasn't made a racist joke in their life.

The Swastika might have been the original symbol that stood for good luck and good fortune before Hitler took it and turned it upside down.

  • something similair to that but that is exactly true.

  • Wasn't she and Rozz good friends?

  • George's drumming here is amazing!

  • Kinda odd that i had started to have my own form of christianity only 3 weeks previous knowing that rozz had his own aswell. I love rozz's ode's though or ode type of writing.

  • ke bien maman ¬¬ mejor disfruten d l rola :D

  • Rozz Williams was not anti religious. If you research enough, you will find out that he favored a form of...tempered belief. From what I've found out, he did believe in god, but was able to discern from his version of fact and fiction, as far as the bible. Agnostic beliefs. Does'nt change the fact that Christian Death remains a classic band. Original line up. Hell, CD with Rozz, Shadow Project, Dacus Karota...

  • have always been under the impression that this band were like anti religious, but they rock, like a gothic david bowie, gota get some cds of these dudes man, thanks, 4 opening my eyes to something else:)

  • there not really anti religious. eva o was christian, and i think but im not positive but rozz sortov was. he would alot of times mix christianty with satanism. its crazy but its actually pretty cool. i hate bands like COF that are all like, christianty sucks, were satanic. its utterly disgusting.

  • i like one cof song, and they didnt even do it, its a cover, but yeah, people hateing shit for no reason is shit.

  • rozz wasnt and eva became a christian later in her life, before she started playing in christian death i believe. the only theater of pain was more satirical (to me) then like cof who are mostly trying to be scary FAIL .

  • well cof definitley fails in scaryness. it might scare a 13 year old kid, and they might think thier "relly kewl" but in reality there as scary as nickelback. christian death i don't think even tries to be scary, i think they just are. lol. but not in the same way as say a black metal band like say absurd, but more in a dark humor joking kinda way. thats the reason why they beat most bands out there :)

  • Rozz definitely was the master at that.

    RIP rozz.

  • He was against religion actually.

  • never mind, still good:)

  • he was against it put not like how valor was. to be honest i really don't know what his real beliefs are. but i do know he practiced a strage mix of christianty and satanism. from interviews he says he christian. others say he's a satanist. well probraly never know for sure

  • Rozz might have come closer to a true esoteric in his beliefs, being that he could've believed in some aspects of original Christianity or had accepted and adopted some of the more profound teachings of gnosticism or ritual rites such as those had amongst the Knight Templars. The prior all parts of historical Christianity, but teachings which today are denounced in mainstream Christianity as heathen. Perhaps much the same way that Freemasons today are labeled heathen.

  • I wouldn't doubt if he was Gnostic as he often shows an envy of the feminine form and wrote many songs in reference to Electra.Perhaps he was just a transgendered individual and all of that was an elaborate metaphor for his envy of the female form.He seemed like a very tormented individual and fairly reserved from what I've read and seen of him so I would not rule out the trans hypothesis.

  • Could you explain about the references to Electra?

  • yea alot of his songs arent actually anti religion, but rather against the flaws in widespread mainstream religion, and the problems of society in general

  • Rozz's music is a Strong influence on my music I write. I have this live album^^

  • I was at this concert in L.A. What a trip to see it again! Miss him.

  • J ADORE ROZZ !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Esta banda es lo máximo!!!

  • haha casey chaos on bass, now that's old school!

  • What the fuck is he wearing... good god @_@

    Rad vid nonetheless.

    Where'd you get it?

  • LOLLL

  • Rozz Williams

"All truth is parallel; All truth is untrue"

    [6/11/1963 - † 1/04/1998 †]

PRINGAO

  • I saw them many times in LA many many years ago in places like the scream & even fenders in LB (b4 it burned down) if anyone remembers that place, guess that makes me a old timer I suppose but ppl Rozz was awesome to watch almost mesmerizing, hypnotic and definitely not hard on the peeps. When he died it really left things a mess. MISS YA ROZZ!! rip my friend

  • Cant believe all the great music I have been missing.i enjoy main stream but there is so much out there that isnt main stream that will never get heard and its tragic.

  • I suppose that might be a sign of you putting a halt to your mainstream likes and listening to some underground music. Im jk man. I found that underground bands have the best talent since most of the time they create their own music as oppossed to their managers or other people making it for them. Take care. :)

  • It's not tragic, mainstream is for those whom want to be spoonfed all there lives.

  • Jadore !!

  • Im not really a big fan of Christian death...but that song simply kicked my goddamn ass. lol. Fucking love it!

  • "Only theatre....." is the only good album they ever did. unfortunately, but it was also the best damn death-rock album ever fucking made, fuck all the rest! Didn't Valor sing for RaTT?....or was it Dead or Alive?

  • Inte för att vara taskig, men det här är nog något av det sämsta jag har hört i hela mitt liv!

  • all this same, it's nice to see this, i did get a chance to meet him at a rare Premature Ejaculation show near toronto here, got to meet him, seemed a little spaced (hehe), but genuinely nice and easy to talk with.

*on a humourous side-note - a good chunk of the new goth kiddies at the PE show left mid-way because they were expecting to hear something sounding like Christian Death or Shadow Project lol.

    we miss you rozz.

  • Shifting gears; what is the name of the live album, recorded at the Paradiso, that I used to own, but can't remember the name of? The one with the inside cover shot of Gitane, David Glass, and whoever else was involved at that point?

  • Met him. Kind, intelligent, so highly artistic

and handsome. Were we the only ones to see it?

I knew when I talked to him he was slowly heading there. Bless you Rozz.

  • And the bass player IS HITTING THE WRONG FUCKING NOTE!

So put THAT in your Depends Discreet Undergarments as you saunter over to the Blue Oyster Bar...

  • Your screen name is apt bayboo138, you're a baby, and you boo-hoo like one. Repeatedy. Fuckstick.

  • The bass sounds like it's out of tune.

  • shut up loser

  • That's odd. I don't RECALL saying "You can speak now fuckstick", but who knows; it's been a busy day...

  • thats how it's suppose to sound... "unusual" since it is goth!

  • That's all well and good, but I've listened ro this song a million times. I guess I'm gonna' have to get technical, sit down with my guitar, and put the actual note discrepency out there. God; the things I do for love...

  • wow i just started listening to these guys recently and these guys even kick ass live! i hear my new favorite band.

  • Thank U Rozz for coming down for a bit to share your beautiful expression with us -through your struggles with us- We are forever with you.

  • I had this on vinyl back in the day... i forgot how much i listened to them and how beautiful rozz wazz!! "..blood on our hands, blood on our hands"

  • perhaps a bit of Bowie influence?

  • YEAH!

  • Rozz Williams FOREVER!

One of those talented people that just were too true to cope with this shithole we live in...

  • es tan sexy!!

  • This is Christian Death. And I love it.

  • i often think i'm an old roman soldier wearing my soft blue hooded chesapeake jacket walking by myself in winter, we all wore them and listen to Roz and played Goth

  • This is how it is s'pose to be done!

    R.I.P. Rozz

  • fab!

  • It's awesome!!!!

  • rozz's presence seemed to whip the stage.... what an amazing artist.. i remember when he hung himself in his apartment in hollywood. he did it on april fools day. my friends and i couldnt believe it. i jsut bought his book "the art of rozz williams... its great.

  • Yeah, he hung himself in his apartment.

  • Wow what a shame. I never knew that.

  • i cant really remember what happened did Rozz Williams hang himself? I knew he had depression or something

  • He was so beautiful.

  • *Used.

    Dx

  • I wonder what kind of shampoo Rozz uses.

  • why dont they just fuck on stage what a total rockstar good music though valor is alright

  • Valor? who gives a shit about that retard without talent. ROZZ = CHRISTIAN DEATH, without him there is no christian death, just a bunch of moneydiggers....

  • they should have convinced mcgearty to play base that just would have completed the thing to perfection, christian death the best band out of all bands ever created these guys will always be the greatest but rozz your a fagget for killing yourself, there i said it.

  • ROZZ=GOD.
