I love listening to Richie Rosato sing, he is such a great talent. Those phonies that now call themselves the Duprees lost me as a fan when Richie left the group. They made a "BIG MISTAKE". Richie made the group sound like the the original Duprees. Now they sound like the phonies that they are.
I love this song! Great lyrics that really capture the soul and spirit of doo wop music. Listening to it takes this Baby Boomer back to my younger days.
It's great the way it mentions doo wop's early street corner roots and some of the early groups. It's a fitting anthem for the genre.
