When caring for a young one, sometimes they become blotted and can't go poop. The reason for this is because they are not getting enough exercise as if they were with their mother. A couple of granules of epsom salts in their drinking water clears them up and they tend to like the stuff as well. The fields are full of these compounds.
mealworms, lot of flies, butterflies, wasps&bees without their spins and cottage cheese mixture and first of all a soft nest or a sitting place in a warm place for the weak swallow.
