  • Grand job!

  • Oh thank god for a moddler with a brain - Im with you - this is the kind of tut I was looking for - as soon as you picked up the mould I had it figured out - cool method. Perfect

  • skylandmountain, Thanks for your comment.

  • What was the plaster you used to create the rock faces?

  • Flyman891, I used casting plaster.

  • Really great work. Are you going to make a video on how to cast those rubbermolds? I can't seem to grasp the way you pour latex over Coal and get those nice forms??

  • piosa, The latex is painted on to the object you wish to mould. When the latex has dried, paint the next coat on and so on. Six coats are enough to make a mould. Thanks for you comment.

  • Great Video! Could it be possible to use a bicycle tube filled with sand to help hold the mold in place?

  • bobcatmanherd, Thanks for your comment and suggestion. I will try it next time I'm making some new rock faces.

  • The rock face looks great, but what is the mold made out of?

  • NafisC, The mould is made from Latex rubber, thanks for your comment.

  • Great work!!

  • nawedavid, I glad you liked it, thanks for your comment.

  • this is ... cool?? you are very experienced and a good instructor. But whats the point of this?

  • IaNdAcRiPwAIKa, Thanks for your comments. The point is to help modellers who build dioramas or have model railway layouts to improve their modelling skills.

  • Great!! I liked the technique of joining the moulds. I used to wait till dry it and then use to remove the dried overlaps. Your method of water jet is great!!! Youtube is best way to share. thanks for sharing.

    best regards

  • Hi Peter, I like to share my model railway experiences as you do, I felt inspired to make the "how to" videos after watching your excellent videos.

    Seasons greetings from Australia.
