Truman IS a southerner! He was raised in Sam's Valley in SW Oregon.
He plays fiddle just like my G-G-G Grandfather, who was smart enough to leave Kentucky and Missouri more than 130 years ago, so he could bring his family (and style of fiddle playing) to Oregon, over the Oregon Trail.
