The problem with Canadian Idol is everything. The artists are ill prepared, and the contracts are binding and limiting. They get used and thrown away like whores and left with nothing. I actually feel bad for Brian, he had to chose between songs that sucked that he could sings and songs that sucked that were beyound his vocal range. Worse yet is Idol is the only place ppl see Canadas talent, we are in severe trouble. Juno winners cant even get record deals.

I like his voice, but it's more than about vocal ability. It's what you do with it. He got it right with ALL I EVER WANTED, but CI's problem is you always end up with artists too stupid to realize that rockers probably shouldn't try to sing Whitney Houston...unless you're musical enough to change the arrangement.
