@HarlequinPIerrot They made fun of Fran's nasally voice in one episode of The Nanny. She ate a spoonful of wasabi and collapsed of her stool wanting water. When she stood up a minute later, her sinuses were completely clear. She spoke without her nasally voice...for about 10 seconds.
@bunkman64 It is Jerry Reed himself.Jerry Reed might have been imitating George Jones and Willie Nelson in "The Bird" but I haven't heard anyone, even Rich Little, who could do Jerry Reed.
@bunkman64 You're correct. I remember hearing Tim Wilson on Bob & Tom not long after Jerry died and he said Jerry was kind enough to do the voice on this song with him as he thought it was a funny tune.
@bunkman64 Since this was done a decade or so before Jerry died, it's very possible that it's Jerry himself. But don't discount the possibility it's Tim doing an impression. He's VERY good at the ones he does. His Strother Martin is spot on!
Tim should have been on the blue collar comedy tour.

I think its Jerry, liked most of his movies except for Smokey and the Bandit 3. I guess he just wanted to the Bandit. R.I.P. Jerry.
TheWestbrooke 10 months ago
@TheWestbrooke It's definitely. If you have ever seen The Waterboy, Reed played an old football coach. His voice was just as raspy as in this song.
