  • The most moving romantic movie I have seen since the English Patient which I saw a Decade ago.

  • Clint Eastwood ate her up that whole movie, inside and out.

  • Clint didn't have much films in the 90's. The Rookie, In the Line of Fire and Absolute Power are my favs but this film was very beautiful and touching too. Clint Eastwood is real genius. I love the 90s so much

  • @topoyiyadormilona Yes they legitimately filmed this movie at my house. And in the town I live in. haha

  • This movie, in its entirety (including score), is absolutely beautiful. She completely envelopes her character so well, it's amazing.

  • Just watched all the clips whiched made up the whole movie.. And everytime i watch it , well i get this sense to cry during the whole thing.. What can i say, I love that movie and can totaly relate.. Such a great movie..

  • Meryl was tottaly in character in this film, brilliant performance. And Clint was brilliant too.

  • @razbigranicu Good on you for acknowledging Clint. Meryl Streep is amazing of course, but then she always is--she's so damned gifted and assured in her roles that people sometimes forget to give proper due to her costars and this is especially true in Clint Eastwood's case. He's always been a much better actor than he's usually given credit for.

  • I'm afraid that my wife and I are breaking up, a fact making Bridges a deeply affecting experience for me right now.

But I think it's critical to inject a note that greatly widens our field of vision here. I'd like everyone reading this to understand that Robert Kincaid and Francesca Johnson's conduct is precisely the sort that Muslims believe in punishing severely, even with death. Islam demands that the human heart pay unwavering allegiance to preëxisting forms dictated by the Qur'ān.

  • @bangfarang Sorry to hear about your troubles, but are you and/or your wife Muslim? Because otherwise I'm not sure I understand your comment regarding this movie, its characters, and Islam. I don't see the connection.

  • Readers here may wish to know that I've responded to TheCat at her channel.

  • This is amazing! So thrilled that I'm not the only one who would list this as my alltime favorite movie. It moves me so much every time I watch it Streep and Eastwood are amazing and what I love the most is that I completely forget that I'm watching a movie. The energy, tension, love and passion is beyond words. Just like some of you I bawl my eyes out every time I watch it and especially when the theme song comes on! Have to get the DVD as one of you suggested :-)

  • They were at/in my house! Im not even kidding!

we have pictures. my mom was pregnant with me so i wasnt there, but it is so crazy to think that my house was semi-important. lol My mom is also obsessed with Clint Eastwood. I love this movie. i may be 16 but it is a great movie.

  • @Shannonluvsmooses Amazing, well I'm a bit jealous now you've told us this.

But it's a great story to tell everyone. Not everybody can say that Clint and Meryl were in their house. I would be very proud of it!

  • @hnzjj lol well thanks! I found and enlarged photo of Clint that my mom took. I told her that she was a creeper. lol

  • @Shannonluvsmooses Man can you make a video showing your house and the part used...like kitchen,,,I love this movie so much (also the book)

  • I don't EVER cry with movies. For this one, I did - and I felt incredibly sad for the rest of the evening! Such a great film (and I'm planning to buy the book too)!

  • do it...Movie and the Book are both great!!!;-)

  • Hi, LordHeath1972, I am not guy, and I like you and your comments:)))

  • I am a guy of 37 and I cry every time that music swells on the scene where Meryl Streep has her hand on the truck door handle in the rain just before Clint drives off at the end and she says "oh no"....

I have also had the pleasure of having read the novel too and to this day it is the only BOOK to have made me cry.

I named my daughter Emily-Madison, after this film because like her...I love it so much. My son is also named Robert after the author and the character Robert in the film.

  • Can somebody tell me what's meryl says when she speaking italian? please

  • In this video she's not speaking italian, I'm afraid. Perhaps you're referring to the movie...

  • It's not Italian, but she's mimicking her childhood neighbor's thick Italian accent. She says, "Gracie, take out the garbage."

  • Thank you I understand now

  • Omg i just advise everyone to buy the collector edition of the DVD that came out few weeks ago :D I ordered it though i alreayd had the dvd (this is my fave movie ever.. and book also) . I learned SO much in the commentaries, i only wish it was meryl and clint.. but honestly, this making of usually lasts 45 minutes and it's pure joy.. This story brings me to tears everytime.. simple feelings but loads of wipes..

  • thank you for posting this comment because I didn't know a new edition of the DVD had been released.....and as soon as I am through writing this comment to you I am ordering it!!!

Thanks for posting your comment!! You have made an immediate impact on me!

  • Oh my! you're so welcome =) I hope you'll enjoy it. I'm glad I made your day lol x x x x

  • ..and yes I DID cry again at the scene in the rain where Clint holds up Streep in the truck and her husband says "boy, what is he waiting for?" Er...YOUR WIFE matey!!! Her hand on the door handle and the music and the "oh no" bit that follows....

Would love to chat to you more about the movie, I really would. So nice to share this with someone who really appreciates the movie and the book.

Ooo look, I almost made a new friend on YouTube!!!

  • i watched this movie more than 30 times, but still got touched to cry. what a movie! don't know how to describe my feeling about this movie and other masterpiece of clint eastwood. he must be an apostle. he knows the deepest feeling in our hearts

  • Thank you ~ this IS my uber favorite movie!!!!! =)

  • I always list this as my fav movieof all time. Sometimes all we have is a few days that we cherish forever. Better to have had a few than none at all. In a perfect world, all lovers would be this intense.

  • @Harky1951 I tottaly agree with you!

  • @Harky1951 BTW you have an amazing voice.

  • It's mine too!

  • la mejor pelicula me jodio

  • what a great great movie. I love it, its one of my favorites of all time.

  • love this movie so much. I was so so moved when watching it. Just imagine all your life you love someone and never see him again.

  • yeah, know how it feels, sucks pretty hard.

  • c un super film !!

  • Thanx for this vid :]

  • apparently they wanted michelle pfeiffer or someone of a similar age to play francesca. that would have been ridiculous, there would have been thirty years between the two actors and it would have been a lot less successful and believable

  • In Michelle's defense, she's a brilliant actress and extremely underrated. She would have been sublime... had she been 10 years older.

  • "criss take out the garbage"lol...=) meryl is absolutely fantastic!! I looooove her..=D

  • One of the most romantic movies ever made.

  • Comment removed

  • When did that interciew take place? I dont think it was from 1995 when the movie cam out anyway :) ??

  • I believe it was 2006 but i'm not sure.

  • Thanks

  • My favorite actress and one of my most treasured favorite movies......

  • this movie has a special meaning to me... my favourite too...

  • My thoughts too!!

  • I think every woman over 30 who hs ever been a housewife at any point in their lives can identify completely with her character in this movie...even if they never "acted" out.....for me watching this movie was like someone had peeked into my heart and portrayed a character who so accurately exposed a deep dark secret desire inside of me to find my own identity...separate from my mundane life chore...

  • Don't want to sound pathetic, but a man can feel this way too ;-).

  • yeah, I totally BELIEVE you ! Not pathetic at all to me !

I just love Meryl Streep. She can play any character. She amazes me. I watched "it's complicated" GREAT movie...super funny whether or not you have ever lived that circumstance.

  • The BEST movie of all time! The best! It makes me cry everytime I see it! I just ADORE it! <3

  • ah,that was lovely to hear clint and meryl say something nice to each other! and I'm so agree with you ritokas3! no one would play Francesca better than Meryl! that wouldn't have worked! she's the best!

  • indeed!

  • No one in the world could play Francesca better than Meryl. Her performance is definitly the soul and the beauty of this movie.

  • I just spent a hour crying, This movie is one of the best. OMG I thank all of them. Please keep doing what you do.

  • too old? who's better to play a 45yr old woman than a 45yr old woman!

Jeez. the studio executives need to wake up!

  • Too old?! That's very crazy.....

  • too old??? she looks incredible! luv this fulm sooo much! :,)

  • Yeah, thats crazy, shes damn beautiful and always looking younger than what she really is.
