I keep getting an error "505" each time I try to dowload an app, open the free e books etc. I am having this problem with both of the tablets I ordered my kids for Christmas. I am extremely frustrated right now.

@chandarasith What is probably wrong is your wireless security is set for WPA or WPA2, and the Nextbook probably only works with WEP. You can see if your can change your wireless security over to WEP (most router security setting do allow this), however, you should read up on the security effectiveness of WEP vs WPA/WPA2. Or read the instruction manual for your Nextbook to see if you can change the setting to WPA/WPA2.

@hell0hkitty, Have you contacted the company by phone or gone on-line for 'live help', to find out what's going on? The majority of the time the "live help" feature has done it for me. Give it a try.

@hell0hkitty Did it see the network and did you put in the password to get on your network just asking because alot of people have no idea how to go about that they just have the internet provider set things up and dont think about it. The password would be on the router that would need to be put in in order to connect.

I got this sometime in November and it works really good for me. The screen is nice and clear,it's very good for the price they have it for. I love it's really great. I've downloaded some videos and the video looks really nice and clear. When you read the pages on this reader is really good. I haven't had any problems since I got it so it's a good deal.

@HapaKamoaGurl don't waste your money buy your laptop. this e-reader is not what they advertise. it's slow to respond, virtual keyboard is a hazzle. video player is hard to control to play videos. music player is difficult to use volume lever. save your money trust me. I sent back after a week of using it. oh the e-reader works alright until you download your own books then it slows down to turn pages. also try going from your e-reader to play a video or music and see if you still like it.

I bought this the first day it went on sale. It took a while to get to me. I used it on vacation a few times the 2nd week of December. Pulled it out today and have been trying to charge it ALL DAY!!. It won't charge. I have tried the charger it came with, old cell phone chargers NOTHING,,,Needless to say, I am UNIMPRESSED. I suppose I will have to try to contact CS :(

This is the worst! I used it a total 5x and then got an error message saying the EReader has stopped unexpectedly" Customer Service is only open M-F 8 - 5 PST and even then you must register the product before they will help you. Call CS is a joke, on hold for EVER!!! Waiting of the return label from HSN. I am DONE

Complete piece of garbage! Outdated software, no flash, cannot update the software, cannot watch flash videos online (that's most videos), touch screen is dreadful. You transfer things from your computer to the e-reader. You pay for the return shipping. It goes back to the manufacturer, not HSN, and can take up to 21 days for your account to be credited. I cannot believe I fell for this! This presentation is completely misleading. It's going back first thing Monday morning. Buyer, beware!

I just received my nextbook and so far so good. It is performing great. The thing to remember here guys is that you can not compare an iPad to this. The iPad is a tablet ( which has better abilities to perform ) , this is NOT a tablet, it is more of an e-reader . The iPad is also 600 bucks and this is 160.00 so if you keep this in perspective, I think you will be happy with your purchase.

I purchased the new kindle 3g a few months ago and when I saw the Nextbook 2 on HSN I thought it looked interesting and decided to try it, because it gave me the addd feature of buying books from another company, touch screen, color internet, video player, photo viewer, apps, and the ability to play games.

@Daisukekamiya I just tried my earphones and it works great. I was lost with the menu in the beginning too; if you look at the diagram on the bottom of page 19 of the Manual Instruction pamphlet it will hopefully make it easier for you. Good luck!

I got my notebook today and yes, it does everything I expected and more! A great deal and a wonderful xmas gift for my son! If you want to go spend $400-?? then go for it! But this really is great quality for the price and the videos look amazing!

@marylynjla2007 I really think you should try it since you have until January 31, 2010 to try it. The only problem I have had is with my email app, so I just went to the internet. The photo app is great! I put my music on a SD card to save space in my internal memory for my books and the music app is great also.
