  • Jeremy are like this

  • nice Rover 75 and MG SV in the SMC showroom. Lovely cars

  • @ash7990 yea they are!

  • Disgraceful destruction of perfectly useable cars. Causing pollution and environmental damage.

Its political vandalism which is depriving the poor of the means to get to work as cheap good cars are now in short supply.

  • Its not a good idea at all. Its all about cash. This is not recycling, its scrapping perfectly good cars that are almost as clean running as the new ones that replace them. The production of a new car is hugely polluting. Yet the public fall for it. Going green my A*****e. AND the £2000 saving on your new car is more than lost by the time you drive it home!!!

So, sell your old car for a few hundred, and buy one a year old or so and save way more than £2k

  • its a good idea. less shit cars on the road

  • Some manufacturers seem to have put the price of their vehicles up since the £2000 scrappage scheme began. Why have they been allowed to do this when taxpayers money is being used to prop them up?

Isn't it a bit like the banks taking tax payers money while continuing to pay bonuses?

  • bastards that are destroying perfectly good cars both GOV and owners ,for instance some asshole scraped an Audi quattro

  • In my opionion the scrappage scheme is more harmful to the economy and environment than good.
