Are you suggesting that in a game, I should teach my players to literally throw the ball out in front of them when they are trying to beat their man off the dribble with this drill? That's how they can get separation? What happens if they have to pull it back? Say a gap that was open no longer is, the on-ball defender gets a good jump on it, or help side D slides over. Once the ball is out there in front, there is no getting it back. I feel like that's a turnover waiting to happen.
@flapman9 Thanks for the question! I have a second video coming soon where I explain that is only to be used with you have open space to attack into. Open floor, before help rotates etc
so lebron does not travel.... he just uses the hidden step
