  • Where did you get that definition of faith from? Certainly not from any serious theologian. Here's a proper definition,

"[Faith] affects the whole of man's nature. It commences with the conviction of the mind based on adequate evidence; it continues in the confidence of the heart or emotions based on conviction, and it is crowned in the consent of the will, by means of which the conviction and confidence are expressed in conduct." (W. H. Griffith-Thomas)

  • ATHEISM IS FUCKING RETARDED SO ARE YOU GO TOO HELL

  • @anonymousyugiohfan2

Atheism equals reality my friend. You are living in a dream. Also, hell does not exist.

  • @anonymousyugiohfan2 bravo. I'm so convinced in the existence of your god now! thank you!

  • isn't a magnet supernatural?

  • "I dont have faith that youre right, therefore I have no faith that I am right?"

Your viewpoint is moreso that of an agnostic. Although I agree with almost everything that youve posted, this is not one of those things I agree with. /hardheadedness activate!

  • I believe Christ will judge everyone fairly, based on their circumstances, their heart, their intentions, etc. Many will die never having heard the gospel of Christ. That doesn't mean Jesus will just throw them in hell. Religious zealots will say He'll send them to hell anyway. "Every knee will bow and tongue will confess Jesus is Lord." That verse tells me we'll all have the chance in this life or the next to hear the gospel and accept Christ as our Saviour. I did accept Him in this life

  • Girl, you're as dumb as you look! God is right in your face. Call it God, a Creator, or whatever, but believe me, there IS a God. Look at how far the earth is from the sun. Perfect distance from it in order for life on earth. Take a deep breath. Thats called air you're feeling coming in. So air just happened to form from nothing?! And it just so happened to work perfect with the human body?! The earth rotates so everyone gets the sun.I can go on and on. You bet there's a God/Creator!!

  • @bradfordpestservices Are you being serious here? There are literally billions upon billions of planets orbiting Stars like our own sun. What do you think the chances are for other planets to be orbiting a "perfect" distance from their Star? I breath in air, yet I can't breath in water. Funny, considering the Earth is 80% covered by this water. I also can't breath in space. Funny, considering the Universe is abundant with space. You might realize all of this if you would open a real book.

  • @iz2sicc The universe is so big im sure there may be many suns. There may even be other planets with people. We dont know all the answers, but it doesnt mean there's not a God/Creator altogether. Ive watched alot of Atheist. You all have the same demeanor, a dark one.Don't play into satan's hand.He loves when we don't believe in God, him, or practically anything else for that matter.Ask the Spirit of God to come upon you. To reveal Himself to you besides the obvious way through creation. He will

  • @bradfordpestservices I have for the 21+ years I lived as a religious person. Every time I thought I saw/felt God's hand, I realized that millions of his other children remain suffering. Every time I wanted to thank God for my fortunes, I felt incredibly selfish for that same reason. I don't have a dark demeanor, I have a rational one. I only bring these points up to show just how arrogant your views are. We have one shot at life, so might as well make the best of your one life. Enjoy it.

  • @iz2sicc I battle with these same things. "Why should i deserve a blessing when there are people around the world starving to death",etc. This thinking led me down a dark road. One that will most likely make me eventually deny Christ, and i felt that coming. I refused to do that. I kept thinking about Proverbs 3:5 "lean not on thy own understanding...", I finally concluded that things are screwed up for reasons im not supposed to try and figure out, but just to be grateful i myself know Christ

  • @iz2sicc I know there are things in the Bible that don't make sense, But you need to realize its YOU who aren't looking at things right, because the Bible has proved itself correct by the prophesies that came true down to the finest detail. If you've been fortunate enough to have a chance to receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you dern well better not turn your back on Him just because many things dont seem right or fair. We're talking about eternity here.

  • @bradfordpestservices Aside from your claim of God, you make an extraordinary claim about bible prophecies. Discuss that for a minute. Give me your references. Let's see the proof. I'll wait.

  • @iz2sicc Im talkin about prophecies like in Isaiah about Christ, made hundreds of years before Christ, and it all came true down to the finest details. If you're not going to be open to the Spirit of God trying to reach you, thats your problem. I myself would never take that chance. If your right, what are you to gain? At death, Six feet under only??If you're wrong, and the Bible IS right, what will happen to your soul now that(according to the Bible)you've turned your back on Christ?!

  • @bradfordpestservices Wow, I was hoping you weren't the Pascal's Wager type. I counter that with what if YOU'RE wrong about which God is real. What if the real God is Zeus? When I die, the matter that comprises me will be given back to the Universe. Some of this matter might become a part of yours and my grandchildren. Perhaps it will become a part of a new Star. That's is truly poetic in my eyes. Not some arrogant belief that I deserve an eternal life of happiness. Would be nice I admit though.

  • @iz2sicc

Most people wont have eternal life and most dont deserve it, but thats not for us too choose but god and its his choice. It states no where that man kind deserves to have eternal life in heaven, but god loves his creation and was willing to sacrifice his only son to do so, and if you dont open up your heart to Christ, you will know what its really like to live in a world without God which wont be fun for anyone.

  • @bradfordpestservices About your prophecy... so your proof is a bible prophecy predicting another story in a future version of the bible? Not very substantial proof my friend. And let's not avoid my argument about Noah's Ark. I'm not a very good dancer.

  • @iz2sicc Who cares about the Noah's Ark thing? What do u want? The ark to fall into your lap in order to believe in the story?! I think you've looked WAY to deep into things which has led you to this point in your life. I was heading down this road myself until a friend said to cut the crap. He said the only thing that matters is our relationship with Jesus Christ. And that we get off track when we go beyond that.

  • @bradfordpestservices Noah's Ark matters a great deal if you take the literal meaning of the bible. You can't say the bible prophesizes to a great level of accuracy, then shrug one of its stories like Noah's Ark off. I'm not looking to believe anything. You and your bible make extraordinary claims. These wild claims are easily refuted. I don't need to look very deep at all for the many flaws of Noah's Ark just to name one bible story.

  • @bradfordpestservices And you weren't on a path to darkness. You were on the path to logic and rationale. If what you say is actually true, then you deliberately stuck your fingers in your ears, closed your eyes, and yelled "LALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU LALALALALA".

  • @bradfordpestservices By the way, what exactly am I misunderstanding about the absurdity that is Noah's Ark? Try and defend that one. It's one of my favorite bible stories to debunk.

  • @iz2sicc You seem to be one of those people that believe in nothing unless you have all the answers to everything you wonder about. You better get the fear of God(the Creator of everything you see) into your heart quickly. That Creator of YOU has the power to destroy you or anyone else. I'd get some respect soon if I were you.I dont buy for a second that an Atheist doesnt believe in God or whatever.I dont believe in aliens, but i dont spend time trying to tell people i dont believe in aliens!

  • @iz2sicc You and this noahs ark thing. Who cares?! Is there anything you DO believe in? You DO believe in God. People that dont believe in something dont waste time trying to prove it doesnt exist. DUH!! Somewhere down the line the devil got your heart. Jesus wants it back. I'll pray you'll let down your walls

  • @bradfordpestservices Save your prayers for those who need it most. If prayers work, I don't want them wasted on me for such trivial reasons. Go save places like Africa and the Philippines with your prayers.

  • @bradfordpestservices Bravo, that was brilliant!

  • @CGatorK Thanks, i was just speaking from my heart. I had to stop going back and forth with this person because satan will try to plant seeds of doubt. He'll do anything to destroy our faith. Sometimes once those doubts are planted, its hard to get rid of it. The Bible tells us to be careful when sharing the truth, that we could become tempted too. Take care and Merry CHRISTmas!

  • I believe in unicorns.

  • is this guy some flamboyant fag?

  • Shut the fuck up prick and stop telling us what to believe! I believe in God whether you like it or not! I think God is as real as you having a dick.

  • Comment removed

  • @CrazyMonkey953 But that wouldn't stop you from trying pork him would it?

  • @CrazyMonkey953 I don't see the dude saying to believe anything in this vid. You must be hearing things...

  • Comment removed

  • @CrazyMonkey953 Do you have comprehension problems when you listen? He's not telling you what you have or have not to believe, genius. Religions do that. News flash: you got in here, a video called "Faith and Athesim" no one forced you to do so, and then you complain about it by insulting? Does by chance your precious and delicate religious sensibility got offended or something? get over it. it's like having lactose intolerance and willingly entering into a cheese factory; cry me a river

  • is there any book written about unicorns?? or is the world time based on unicorns? no.. the bible is written specifically for god and the world runs on the year 2011 because Jesus was born 2011 years ago.. your argument doesn't make sense

  • @pholmes113

There is a book written about unicorns actually... But people usually consider it as a fairytale. But there's one book that mentions unicorns existing which isn't considered as fiction: It's called the Bible.

Our calender is based on Jesus yes... But others aren't. In China, we're living in 4708 (if I'm not mistaken), Jews live in 5771, Buddists in 2554. The 'world' doesn't run at any year except maybe 4.8XX.XXX.XXX, since the Earth was formed. I don't know the exact date.

  • @FireCannon27 if thats going to be your arguement then your contradicting yourself.. what is anymore bizarre about the christian religion than any of the religions you just mentioned?? and your mentioning unicorns as if anyone believes in them... christianity is the largest religion in the world so alooott of people beleive in that unicorn huh?? and im pretty sure you just made up those years cause my best friends a jew and everytime he writs a check he writes the date day/ month/ 2011. not 5771

  • @pholmes113

Ask him about the Jewish calendar. It's from the date of creation. Jews don't believe Jesus was the messiah remember? Why would they use him as year 0 then? But when you write a cheque, you use the in the west more common Gregorian calendar. The bank got to understand. And Christianity hasn't always been the biggest in the world, do the Gods take turns, depending on people's beliefs?

I didn't name any argument against the existance of God yet, or claimed that I'm atheist.

  • @pholmes113

I don't know how much people believe that unicorns exist. I do know that the bible mentions them. Most christians say it's metaphorical. Christianity isn't more weird than Islam,or Judaism. They're all stupid. That unicorn got the same evidence for existing as God: the bible. But somehow people don't believe in the unicorn and they do believe in god. That's illogical. Either believe in both or none, but cherry-picking your beliefs kinda lowers your credibility.

  • @FireCannon27 Ive never heard a voice from the bible that talks about unicorns.. and you and i both know that this argument isn't changing either of our minds so their is no use to have it.. however id like to point out that it is a proven fact that people with a strong faith in god live longer healthier lives.. so even if I'm wrong and their is no god i still think im the smarter one in the end because my life will be better for believing..

  • @pholmes113

Whatever suits you. Faith is a fancy word for doublethink. It makes you happier by silencing your common sense. It advocated believing against evidence, to stop asking critical questions and to control your very thoughts. I don't see how it could improve life, but appearently it does.

  • @FireCannon27 well "evidence" states that people with faith are healthier and happy so i think its worth it

  • @pholmes113

Maybe for you. I'd rather live in the real world for 75 years, instead of a fairytale for 77 years. You can live in your fairytale forever if that's what you want, but don't claim it's the truth. You make the concious decision to ignore the truth.

  • its true that a believe in God is based on faith and that there is no reason to belive in it. Its not true that believe in a God is based on faith. Its kind of presumptuous to believe that every thinkable form of God must be fiction made by man.

  • What are the progress made for peace in humankind made by religion? what was the progress in unifying humanity (not certain groups) that religion is accomplishing today/? Is the reason for religion still? Maybe the argument is not good ? or not God?

  • ooo the monster under your bed is so going to get you.

  • God is not a made up culture figure. who created this world? who made the first humans? how is this the only world? it's all due to God.

  • @FaithonHigh Prove it.

  • At 1:30 it's asserted that "allegedly supernatural phenomena are always found to have natural origins". How could any phenomena be found to have super-natural origins ? It's not success of a testable hypothesis, it's just a tautology. I'm atheist, but reject that pat of the argument.

  • @sweetsweatyfeet shut up

  • @RabiaLove7 Make me.

  • mrs. walter kronkite reporting! have faith in evolution ,I'm living proof behold I was dead now I'm alive!lol

  • wait...WHAT!!!! unicorns don't exist :'(

  • @rrea436 play sims 3, and have all the unicorns you want

  • If ultra-atheists have no faith what so ever then they are most pathetic people i know of. Every body has faith in something, Is it so wrong to have faith in yourself, you friends, family, loved ones or humanity? Faith is what makes us humans...

  • @lordnarbas You are talking about CONFIDENCE not faith. I have confidence in myself, my friends, family and loved ones because i have evidence they exist and evidence they can do whatever i am confident they can do, i am not confident in humanity because i have seen the horrible things that it creates. I have no FAITH i god exists because i have no evidence to prove a god exists and see no reason to believe in something that i cant prove with factual evidence.

  • @ADawsonTV Religion and faith is not the same concept. Faith is trust, hope and belief in the goodness, trustworthiness or reliability of a person, concept or entity. Religious faith is a belief in a transcendent reality, a religious teacher, a set of teachings or a Supreme Being. Faith is not a bad thing but in fact vital. Confidence is a good thing but not nearly as powerfull as faith...

  • @lordnarbas No faith is the belief in something without evidence or in spite of evidence according to most dictionaries. The said belief does not always represent goodness but instead shows a woeful ignorance of reality. Believing in something just because you want it to be true will not make it true. This why we use evidence to determine if something is true or not. Faith just makes someone stubborn towards reality.

  • HEY!! UNICORNS ARE REAL ZINNIA.

  • @thewhatsit104 Rhinos are the descendants of unicorns.

  • I would say there is proof for unicorns, as their descendants are still on earth :3 And lots of books explain their existence :3 So, Unicorns > God :3

  • @RusconiDom

It still seems like there is a measure of faith that is necessary, since you can't make the call conclusively. A single-cell organism doesn't have the nerves or senses necessary to observe human life, and yet we still exist. If God is eternal in His power, knowledge, and very existence, how is it not plausible that He may exist outside of our common perception?

  • I'm an atheist, but...

I want to believe in Unicorns.

  • Doesn't atheism have faith in the belief that there is nothing to perceive outside of our what we observe through science?

    You seem very bitter.

  • are you a man ? I'm serious here. I am also a atheism btw

  • @prissweb I am wondering the same thing...

  • a potential beautifull world for man and beast. bird an butterfly. we will be strangled by the sarah palins of this world. abandon hope all who ye who enter these lands.

  • @davyjones21122 Patience, Christianity is imploding and will soon be relegated to the trash heap of other failed religions. Christians are doing a bang up job destroying their own faith without to much help from anyone else. Cheers, and be happy

  • if you are athsist you cant go to heaven because you dont belive in god so if your atheist your going down down down down dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooown

  • @brocean13 Well remember all the other superstitions/ religions know for sure you're going down down doooooooown for not believing in their god/s....So, ah.. see ya down there.

  • @brocean13 he doesn't believe in hell either...

  • Hold up now...I thought it was Thor who was throwing them lightning bolts. ;)

  • Yeah, but, elves, unicorns, and magic are all valid forms of badassery.

  • What you on about? Unicorns exist. I AM a unicorn.

  • smartest person on youtube.

  • invisible pink unicorns are real because I believe they are

  • 1:00 I am an atheist and If it is proven that God actually exists through clear evidence then I might change my mind.

  • @GothicWiccan13 "I would refuse to worship him" thats awfully courageous of you, however, if heaven & hell are real, i doubt you'll ever meet god. But please do not confuse religious perceptions of god with the origins of the universe. Like i said im catholic. I have more faith than you because thats what Christianity relies on. Theres no more empirical evidence for my perception of god than there is for the tooth fairy. But the idea that there is a god is a completely different case.

  • @GothicWiccan13 So basically, we don't know how the universe came into being, we can only look at the little evidence (not proof) we do have to point us in the rite direction. The problem is, the evidence can lead people into completely different directions. I would submit the process of DNA to RNA to protein as evidence for a intelligence, you would say its evidence for an unguided process. You have faith there is not intelligence i have faith there is.

  • @GothicWiccan13 We know that the universe is fine tuned to harbour life. Had just one of the physical constants been altered by the slightest fraction, then matter could not exist, gravity would collapse on itself etc. This fine tuning can be explained by one of two possibilities. 1.there is a creator 2. we live in one of an infinite number of universes, i.e multiverse theory. So it is a question of faith, either you believe in a creator or the multiverse. No solid evidence for either.

  • @GothicWiccan13 Im a catholic, so if you deny my perception of god then thats fine. To say there was no intelligence behind creation is a whole other matter. We simply do not know.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @GothicWiccan13 My point about the rationality is, we live in rationally comprehensible universe. How did irrationality (unguided processes) manage to create rational beings, such as ourselves. E.g take a look at the remarkable processes observed in the DNA/RNA

  • @GothicWiccan13 "absence of evidence" I agree, But i don't believe in god just because science cannot explain everything, there are many reasons. It is not at all logically sound to assume natural causes are the default. We can see the laws of nature guide the universe we live in, but to say that these laws were somehow created by other natural laws is as big an assumption as saying there is an intelligence. You have no concrete evidence to back that up.

  • All in all, you may put your faith in the idea that there is no God. Meanwhile, I put my faith in Jesus Christ and the Father. Everyone is able to discern for themselves the meaning of life and whether or not they believe in God.

  • faith is defined as "belief that is not based on proof". Atheists believe is that there is no God, yet you cannot prove that God does not exist. Meanwhile, I cannot prove to you that God does exist. So, we both subscribe to different faiths. I believe it takes more faith that the universe was created by random chances of combining the exact chemicals and physics & life evolving over millions of years than the idea of a Creator. I guess i don't have enough faith to be an atheist.

  • @heartandflesh Well, everything else has thus far proven to be the results of natural causes and phenomnom (sp?). Atheism (as I tell people) is merely naturalism when it comes to how the universe began. We scoff and dismiss the supernatural when it comes to most everything else, an atheist simply takes this logic to it's full extent and dismisses supernatural claims when it comes to why the universe exists as well.

  • @Dev1lB01So next time an atheist says they don't have faith, ask them what evidence they have to suggest the cause was not intelligent (seeing as atheists are so fond of evidence) And if they should say naturalism is the default position, then their just stupid. Ask them how they reckon rationality can come from irrationality. Remember "faith" is a belief without solid evidence.

  • Gigantic Faggot

  • @bloodygutz713 and you are a judgmental bigot

  • @bloodygutz713 and you are a judgmental bastard

  • (= I don't expect anyone to acknowledge this. But, atheism is based on the belief that there is no god. Yet sadly for atheists, even their belief cannot be proven. Uno momento por favor. Sounds familiar. That isn't faith?

  • @Dev1lB01 If you think that your disbelief in purple two headed air monkeys is faith based, then yes. But if you define faith as believing in something for which there is no evidence and you don't believe, I would make the argument that not believing is the opposite of faith.

  • Comment removed

  • @Dev1lB01 Don't listen to them m8, ur spot on. Someone who doesn't believe in the Christian god, has a lack of belief. However, atheists don't just deny the Christian god, they "believe" there is no god whatsoever. When we look at the universe we have two options: either the universe came about via unguided processes or via an intelligence. No one knows what caused the big bang, many scientists believe we will never know.(physics cannot explain their origins)

  • I love the "Porn" music you always play with your `Words of Wisdom`! You are a very interesting person. Keep up the `Advice`. I really `lurvvvvvvv you videos! Good health to you sir/madam; Abraham.

  • You're obsessed with this topic! You're the one with the problem, not believers!

  • lol the first thing i see when i scroll down to the comments is video responses that are supose to be "logical"

sadly thats typical with these religion vs atheism wars

  • @daddyg321

But atheists do have facts to back up our claim that God almost certainly does not exist. For instance, if a God who is omnibenevolent, omnipotent, and omniscient existed, we would expect that the deaths of millions of innocent people (even his own people, the Jews, in the Holocaust) would not occur. Yet they did, they do, and they will continue to do so if outdated and immoral religious beliefs stymie the progress of humanity.

  • I find your matter-of-fact tone oddly comforting. I've created a sleep-playlist of your videos to listen to while I'm falling asleep.

  • @ThumbprintTheatrics hahahahaaa

  • @TerumiYuuki16 +1 troll points

  • In my opinion there is a reason to believe in God, not because there is any proof of his existence, but because knowing or believing that there is someone out there who loves you can make you feel better.

I also think that praying can be helpful, because it is always good to talk to someone about problems, even if this someone is imaginary.

  • unless you tolerate EVOLUTION

  • Whenever debating with a religious person, avoid using the term " I believe.." (in gravity, or evolution, or anything). They will jump on that and use soem variation of the argument, "You see! You're allowed to believe, but you deny me that." Instead, avoid the word believe, just say something like "all the evidence I have seen leads me to the conclusion that this is most likely true."

  • Well done!

  • Excellent argument and point.

  • not being rude but why do you dress like a girl. if your transvestite fare anough

  • @bellyzbad

Maybe dressing like a girl is acceptable, maybe not.. but how could giving it a label, or not giving it a label, and just 'dressing like a girl' make any difference?

  • @bellyzbad Well, by definition, that makes him a transvestite. I mean, I think that's obvious. But he doesn't always dress that way, if that's what you mean.

  • A very eloquent and compelling argument. I would, however, like to point out that currently there is no scientific data on the existence/non-existence of deities. This in no way justifies belief, but in order to remain objective, one must consider all possibilities. I am personally agnostic and I am not saying that gods exist. I am simply only interested in testable fact and objectivity. To declare atheism makes the assumption that deities do not exist, and is therefor tainted by bias.

  • @Kefroth1 ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON! : ) IF ONLY MOST OF THE WORLD THOUGHT LIKE THIS, maybe IT WOULD BE BETTER!

  • @nicosmith23 i world without faith sounds terrible... and as for the video: the only reason people say that it takes faith to be an atheist, is because they are refering to the atheists that believe in the big-bang. evidence and proof are to diffrent things. there is EVIDENCE of a God, the Bible is accountable for evedence, along with much of the things writin in it. there is EVIDENCE of there being a big bang, but there is no PROOF of iether, because we cant scientificaly study iether case.

  • Love the video, and absolutely LOVE the music, Rachmaninoff's my favourite composer :D

  • honestly i cant stand these videos if people are gonna get so uptight about is atheism a religion or not the call yourself non religious or naturalist, thats what i do honestly

  • Amen to that.

  • There are two options fact or faith based, if atheism can't provide facts, then even the simplest logic says it must be faith based, and this she it just proved it isn't all that smart.

  • ur right theres no god those 100's of thousands of manuscripts made of the Bible were all made up im really sorry u believe this i hope soon in the future you find all this to be wrong

  • "Just b/c" is not faith. If you think having faith = thinking "Just b/c" then you are ignorant of what faith is.

  • @DopoNotte Then what IS faith?

  • @squigoo

Action with purpose; Repeatedly exploring the same action even though the results are different; Awareness through action

  • How are animals, the earth, the stars, the universe and existence all together NOT a reason to at least suspect that there is something greater than matter? Here's your BING BANG, spelled out more than 1400 years ago in al-Qur'an: "Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were joined together as one united piece, then We parted them? And We have made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?"

  • @abudietrich Because there is no proof of any God whatsoever. And when there's no proof of something, then we say it doesn't exist (unicorns, fairies, etc). And that Quranic verse is a logical fallacy, because the Earth did not exist at the time of the big bang. It was formed, according to scientific evidence (aka Proof) at least 10 billion years later.

  • @espanolmuchacho This is not indicating the earth was immediately created at that time, but that everything including the earth was from one piece or point. We say a grand child comes from the grandparents, but there is a step in between. There is another verse (41:11) that deals with the 'smoke' and Allaah ordering the earth to come forth from it, which would be one of the steps after the big bang that served as the process of the formation of heavenly bodies. And Allaah knows best.

  • @abudietrich Either way, science says the same thing but with much clearer and much less ambiguous wording, and also has proof to back it up. Your example is just a lucky guess in a 1400 year old book.

  • @espanolmuchacho Then there are a lot of lucky guesses, because Allaah also accurately describes the formation of the fetus in the womb and the stages it goes through (23: 12-14), cloud formation (24:43), the separation of fresh and salt water bodies (15: 19-20), internal waves (24:40), the function of mountains in relation to tectonic plates (78: 6-7; 16: 15), the orbits of heavenly bodies (51:7) and tons more.

  • @abudietrich After looking those up, they all seem to be making a huge stretch out of very ambiguous wording. Not to mention the fact that you had nothing to compare those suras to until science came along. So what's really true, the method that gives us information, or the one that pretends to have had it the entire time?

  • @espanolmuchacho Firstly, I am not sure where you are coming from when you ask which is better. Doesn't science seek to describe and understand they physical world? That's good. That's fine. Al-Qur'an is a book that gives us guidance on how to behave in that physical world and understand its greater scope, including what is beyond it. I understand you may not believe in the latter purpose, but why does one have to be better than the other? They each have their purposes and uses.

  • @abudietrich Better at proving itself. What you did was take scientific study and apply it to a Quranic verse and say "See, we knew that all along," as if that is enough evidence to prove Islam as true. Look at your original post, for example. You pointed out a Quranic sura which describes the Big Bang, apparently. But you wouldn't have seen the true significance of it if it wasn't for scientific study of the big bang.

  • @espanolmuchacho Alhamdulillaah, if that interpretation of that verse were the only reason for anyone to believe in Islam during the past 1400 years, then I would give weight to what you say. However, this is a sign, perhaps, for this age. For me, however, the apparent correlation between al-Qur'an and modern science is the least reason that I believe. And for those who knew the Prophet, peace be upon him, the issue was probably totally irrelevant to their belief in Allaah and al-Qur'an.

  • @abudietrich Purpose of Quran is not to teach physical world details. He has included signs to confirm the book's authenticity, not science lectures. How and why would you explain quantum physics, cell biology and microbes 1400 years ago to Arabs who thought the world was flat and the sky a dome shaped cover? What language would you use? Muslims furthered science more than anyone during Europe's dark ages (eg AlBaruni). Now Muslims have humiliated themselves by leaving the religion.

  • @abudietrich Okay, I can accept all that you said there. It just came across as you originally saying that those Quranic verses were total proof of a God, which we're not gonna agree on. But I can see where you're coming from.

  • @abudietrich "Muslims furthered science more than anyone during Europe's dark ages (eg AlBaruni). Now Muslims have humiliated themselves by leaving the religion."

It's true that there was a "golden era" of muslim scientific advance. Unfortunately, that was hundreds of years ago.

Muslims have humiliated themselves by trying to turn back the clock and go back to barbarism. Just look at how women are treated under Sharia law. It's obscene.

  • @OccamKant That's basically what I said at the end of my comment. I even used the same word: "humiliated." However, the means of their humiliation is mainly abandonment of the religion, followed by misinterpretation and mis-implementation. This, indeed, is the dark ages of Islam.

  • @OccamKant try thousands of years ago man

  • Faith + atheism = faitheism.

  • @colourfulwithaU lol I read FAILTHEISM

  • why do u dress like a girl if u like cock?

  • @DaBossk No, that was a user named "cristopher" who said that to you. Please try to keep up if you're going to attempt to have a conversation on a public message board.

  • @PriscillaRelentless dont tell me to please keep up its my fucking internet ive been online since 1995 so fuck yeah nigger

  • @DaBossk I highly doubt you were even born by 1995.

  • Zitt Juice, All you ascribe to is the belief that you matter to somebody. So far you have not found Prince Charming as a guy or girl, but you believe you are important for some unknown reason. Bet that's not true at work or school, or anywhere else in public.

  • You are a very pretty and smart young lady.

  • @marky2112 are u serious?

  • @marky2112 no shes a ugly and retarded fucking young lady

  • @DaBossk your a shallow worthless excuse of a human being.

  • also christianity is not monotheistic.. the bible does not say anything about there being just one God just that there is one ultimate God..

  • @sozoid Genesis-1-26 "Then God said, “Let us make mankind in OUR image, in OUR likeness..."

    lol wut

I'm an atheist and I attempted to read the king james holy bible and I had to stop after that part. It was a admirable attempt though right? lol
