The best advice I can give is keep at it and have fun with it, I never set out to learn I just picked it up because I tought it was fun.

1. The 'tabs' stands for 'tablatures' which is like music sheet, but designed for guitar, bass and other stringed instruments, there are several sites that provide free tabs for almost any song. (or perhaps I didn't understood your question very well)

2. Yes you can play it on a squire strat or any other guitar, even on an acoustic if you want. (actually this guitar I'm playng it on is very strat like)

Funny observation, the fretboard is actually the smallest one I have (even smaller than the epiphone and the ibanez RG)

Oh. It looks like an Ibanez. Has a similar body and top. Looks sweet though.

Yeah they are very similar, the Ibanez is a little more "squared" around the edges, but the overall shape is almost the same.

I don't think you can find this particular model anymore, except maybe used, but even then I have not seen too many. I got mine around 96

Thanks man, Yes it's good, but it's not an Ibanez, it's a Yamaha RGX121D. Very thin and fast neck.
