I find the car sit's way to high with those wheel's. The overall size of the tire must be alot taller, compaired to stock.

rear tires are 29 to fill the gap with fender.

I dropped the rear 1" since video and plan to lower it an inch more when I'll get new 28.5 rubbers

I have an 02 Vette w/a few mods and i'd still take that car over mine any day.I love my Vette but there is just no comparison.They are both great cars but in very different ways.My Vette(which is my background on my home page)does not disappoint but there's just something about the old muscle cars that makes you feel like you're driving a car that just begs to be pushed to the limit.For those of you out there who think i'm shitting on my Vette,you're wrong.It's just that i've owned both.

mine had 15 inch cragar sst's then i put on 16 inch I roc wheels' needed spacers to deal with the rear wheels. but that was in the 90's.

I have a 79 T/a, not much of a fan of stock wheels, but i think my limit in size for aftermarket wheels on it would be 18s, after that they are just too heavy and too big for my taste. I use 15x8 Bassett imca race wheels (good looks and super light) about 13-14lbs a peice, but mine doesnt look as nice on the outside as this one so maybe the 20s suits this car better.

@camirocz Do you know why I'm a classic person? Z06 are too nice for me, they sound too sporty, they look too sports, they don't roar like the good old American Muscle cars do. I love the old fashion interior style of the older cars, so I asure you I think I'd prefer a Trans Am over a Corvette anyday. I was in my Camaro today, and I floored it, do you know how that felt for me? The loud roar, tires spinning, fast acceloration, I know Corvette has that, but not the way I like it.

Love the speed, love the sound, love the look, i like the rims but in my oppinion they'd be perfect a few inches smaller, im not an anal traditionalist i think aftermarket rims like that look good on a kickass T/A but i have my limits as to size

looks good with those wheels...... if he keeps the throttle down to "yikes, hold on" velocity he will find that car can be a handful..... in the early 80's I owned a '79 formula, tossed the 305 chevy when it threw a rod and installed a built 4 bolt 350 with NOS, good for about 400 hp off the bottle, who knows with. Took it to 160 a few times, it would hit the back of the pin at speedo's zero, w/much wandering. The 86 vette I got in 87 topped at 158 and was like sitting at home on the couch.
