@Nicolasazo I believe that rule mainly comes more into play when you're dealing with martini's, where the gin's flavor is not as masked by other ingredients. Classic martinis are like 90 percent Gin, so it can bruise somewhat if you shake it, and have a cloudy appearance.
Drinks like this however, when you're dealing with fruit Juices and this many ingredients, you really need to shake it. Also, since you have the Cointreau, lime juice, and cranberry on top of the gin, it's fine to shake.
@shlokda Classic dry martinis are not 90% gin. The Savoy Cocktail Book (1930) indicates the Henry Craddock made his dry martinis with 1/3 French (dry) vermouth and 2/3 gin. His medium martini had equal parts of gin and a dry/sweet vermouth mix.
The reason martinis are not shaken is because vermouth traps a lot of air bubbles during the process and turns extremely cloudy.
As a general rule of thumb, drinks with opaque ingredients (such as juices) are shaken. Others are stirred.
ive been watching a lot of cocktail videos on youtube and this guy is one of the best. the pre-chilling technique with soda, mixing lime wedge with other ingredients.. id like to try that cosmo

Congrats to this gentleman, I agree that he is one of the best.
Just an Inquire, I had understood that the gin should never be shaken, for so Cosmopolitan is made with vodka.
What in this case?
Thank you and Congratulations again.
