Just got this, and im already on Series 6! This is game kept me on it for about 2 hours non stop racing!. Its in Japanese but you'll figure it out easily. I high suggest you get this game, you wont regret it!

This game is pretty good but the only thing I don't like is the handling, pretty stiff for even a car for the highway if you ask me.

The one you played in arcade was made by Namco...this one is made by Genki and the steering in both versions are entirely different.

its a japanese only title that's why you cant find it...just get tokyo xtreme racer for ps2/ dreamcast.there is txr 1, 2 for dc, txr zero, 3, drift 1, and 2 , same company made same game engine..

the type 1, 2, and 3 bodykits... almost like type a, b, and c on Initial D. i wonder if the free run from the PS3 version of Wangan Midnight is in the PSP version. i guess i'll have to find out myself within the next couple of hours. i have a new game to download besides Dissidia on this Christmas Eve now! :)

The game play and grapics are exactly like the PS2 tokyo xtreme racer zero game english version.Even the cars are the almost the same.For this PSP it is just the transferring of the PS2 version of the japanese version of Wangan Midnight which is the same as the PS2 version.Actually two games are the almost the same.except for the japanese version there a story mode of the wangan midnight comics.For me i rather buy the PS3 version.

I downloaded an Iso for PSP and played it a while. It's very difficult to play if you don't understand japanese. You miss out on a lot of the fun. But it's quite a simple game. Keep racing until your opponent's health is at zero. The physics are quite hard to master as well. I guess it's rewarding once you do. But I wouldn't recommend it unless you read Japanese well.

TXR series is a spin-off to the game...

for any of you who are going to buy it, just to let you know its pretty tough to drift in that game. trust me, i have it. Also, the story mode is pretty hard. You have to play with a car with bad handling. So expect to crash into the walls a lot.

Initial D Street Stage is much fun

Initial D Street Stage has a great intro music and great songs during the race you can hear the originally voices of character of Initial D Street Stage, the control for racing is easy!!

Wangan Midnight Portable is an awesome game but they are some negative points and good points!

Wangan Midnight Portable does'nt have intro music! The control of Racing is difficult and and the music is great only if you have to change the audio on option to lower the sfx audio! and voices during the races arent available only the textscreen with picture of the Character!!
