  • my god this line just embarrassed goalies

  • this line defined swag, just look at their faces after a goal, they define the phrase "act like u've been there before

  • We haven't had a more consistent offensive line since these guys. I miss them and I'm sure everyone else does as well. However, I think Gaborik, Richards, and maybe Fedotenko or whoever fills in have a chance at becoming the next best line. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

  • that's why the flyers sign Nylander to a try out contract

  • SAther is idiot, i'm sad Jagr isn't in NHL.. Jagr was best player in Rangers and he leaves him .. Gomez and Drury are nothing against Jagr-Straka-Nylander..

  • Back then half of NY Rangers team were CZECH players, that s why you can see such a wonderfull goals now.

  • One of the best lines of post-lockout era. Jagr was still hot in almost every game and the chemistry was unbeliveable! As I Rangers fan I had a great two years of hockey... used to watch games standing! Many games still in my collection... u want something just PM me.

  • Best hockey line ever.

    And Straka was AWESOME!

  • that line was the ish! Jagr was a beast, i've was always a Marty Straka fan, very underrated, nylander didn't know much about but my god is that not chemistry for ya! the NYR Czech years were fun!

  • the rangers needed to go through 8 years of watching high priced players lose before sather decided to clean house because of the lockout and new salary cap... he did that and look what happened... the rangers have a great year after the lockout because they have what u call team chemistry aka this line... their powerplay was one of the best in league and if not for a few bad bounces couldve made the cup in 07-08... sather went back to his old ways by signing drury, gomez, and redden sadly

  • @rangerfreak616

Yep. They should fire Sather already.

  • @Stifmeister1 its to bad that that wont happen because dolan and sather r inseperatable butt buddies

  • @Stifmeister1 Yet, there's no other GM who could fleece teams in trades (ie Gomez for Higgins/McDonaugh or Boyle for pick)

  • if Drury doesnt get that miracle goal in the final seconds of Game 5 vs Buffalo....we likely get into the Conference Finals

  • That line during the 05-06 season (Jagr's 123 point season) was right up there with the best Ranger lines of all-time. That year was one of the most enjoyable seasons as a Ranger fan....coming off the lockout and 7 straight playoff misses...nobody expected us to be good, nobody thought Jagr had that kind of year still in him....it was such a great season. Too bad Jagr got hurt in Game 1 vs NJ and killed any chance we had of winning that series. They were damn good in 2006-07 too

  • 7:32- 7:47 one of the greatest goals ever. I still remember that goal

  • 6:55 ref signaling no goal?

  • This line was one of the best ever... That style of hockey is awesome .. I think everybody was scared by this line XD.

  • beautyfull!:)

  • I keep coming back to this video. "YEAH GUYS! GOMEZ AND DRURY! WHO NEEDS NYLANDER?!" I hate Sather's thinking. This is the best Ranger line easily since the lockout. 10 times better than any other. I can't even bear to watch this video all the way. Ranger hockey as an art form is dead now, unless you count the way Lundqvist flops around every game to push the postseason.

  • Exactly. Sather is the worst GM in the history of the game. Almost everyone wants to play for the Rangers but he keeps signing guys like Redden, Drury etc. for a lot of money.

He could have had Nylander for about $5 mil/year, but instead he signs Drury and Gomez for $7+ mil/year each.

Then he could have signed Jagr but wasn't willing to give him 2 year contract and instead signs Naslund to a two-year contract.

  • so true.... sather's a pimp - not a GM :P

  • Hey Stiffmeister,

Great video...brings back a lot of memories of when the Rangers actually had a line who could consistently put points up.

Love the one where Straka scored on the Pens with 2 seconds left.

Anyway great video man keep em coming...looking forward to the upcoming season! Let's Go Rangers!!!

  • idk now...we got gaborik and prospal...but that is true, this line was fucking crazy

  • WOW. I thought for sure I had commented/favorited this months ago when you made it.

Long story short, the best chemistry the Rangers have had on a single line in over 10 years. Incredible, very smart players, all 3 of them. Perfect combination they reunited on the Rangers. Great video Stifmeister1. Now, excuse me, as I cry off of these memories. :)

  • What is this second song ? please

  • hey video is great don't worry about the sound quality

  • nice vid

  • LOL this is the probably the most entertaining Rangers line ever. Talk about embarrassing/fooling the opposition. I don't think in our lifetime we will see this ever again :( Makes me appreciate guys like Jagr, Nylander and Straka.

  • why the f did sather break this tandem up!? they just needed a few more pieces and they would have been in the finals this year. what an asshole

  • It was financial, pure and simple. Nylander wanted a multi year contract and considering he's 98 years old, it was too much of a risk. Jagr didn't put up the numbers to take up the option, plus he only came to life during the playoffs. Jagr was carried through the regular season - and add on he wanted the same money as Gomez and Dreary.

  • again gj Stifmeister1 u must be a realy big Jagr fan <3

  • Jagr is (imo) the greatest hockey player ever.

If Jagr had played in the Gretzky era when it was easier to scrore goals, he would most likely hold the all-time scoring title.

  • always loved that line, great vid

hope they would be still playingi ny

could someone please name that song titles?

  • The three simply rocks, well,

rather rocked up to Jaro him plays still luckily in Omsk.

Does somebody know generally why Jaromir from New York has left after Omsk?

Because of Martin's retirement or the "mad" coach?

  • Martin Straka didnt retire. He plays in czech league for his hometown Plzeň and he also works there as hockey manager. He got a lot of proposals form russian league KHL including proposal from Omsk.Luckily for Plzeň he refused...

  • Same here. Those goals are just few of many awesome goals they scored in two seasons.

The Rangers haven't scored any nice goals this year, thanks to Tom Renney's defensive-minded crap hockey. They are damn boring team to watch. :( (I hate to say it)

  • god I miss that line.
