It was great.

I think it's one of those animes that you don't realize how good it is until after you've finished watching the full series.

Not really a fan of the CGI though. If done right it can be good, ie using it for crowds and other tedious jobs, or if the CGI is high quality it can look as good or better than normal animation (see: Macross Frontier and the Eva rebuild)

Here it looks choppy and it's too obvious it's CGI.
