  • Awesome lesson sir.

I have been needing info like this.

    Thank you,

    Dm

  • grate lesson andrew thanks

  • Thanks for this, the chart & jam tracks too.

Nice job on your new site!

    EPIC

  • Great Ideas here Andrew, reminds of Stuff I used to hear on the older Motown tracks from players like "Steve Cropper" he was quite inventive in this style, remember the guitar work on "Sitting on the dock of the bay" Ottis Redding? Keep up the good work,Vic.

  • Your right about Steve Cropper,Jazzguts, except Steve was on Stax Records not Motown. He is great at that style but the undisputed master of that style is Cornell Dupree. Listen to Rainy Night in Georgia by Brook Benton for an example.

  • Thanks for putting me back on the right historic track here, you're right,by the way Cornell was great playing in Stuff together with the great Eric Gale, what an incredible Blues feel those guys had and great ensemble sound,Andrew check out my 'the Healer'(santana) with own impro tell me what you think, greetings Vic.

  • The guy who really got me going on this stuff was "Norman Brown, "(myspace / storminnormanbrown).

He was a staff instructor at G.I.T. when I attended back in 1991. I did a good number of classes with him and he was a huge influence on me - amazing teacher and guitarist.

    Thanks for watching,

    Andrew

  • is double stops a technique or a song name?

  • Hey there deathmetalterrorist >>>

Double Stops are two-note chords (often called dyads in Classical theory). Mostly used as intervals of third's, sixth's & fourth's.

    : )

  • thank you boblawblaws604!!! I've always used this technique but never knew what it was called UNTIL TODAY!!
