i think they might have used a model for some of the explosion stuff, a few trucks that were real may have been blown up also.

This was yougoslavian war movie, everything ought to be just real......you can see towards the end of explosion debris nearly hitting the camera...

and they even got Richard Burton for the role of Tito in another movie...
