  • I just found out that my 5 weeks old puppy golden retriever is blind..

  • @dsr07letsplay aww.. yeah my dog gave birth a few weeks ago.. they all had perfect eye sight.. though today i notice one of the puppy was acting weird.. and found out he was blind :'(

  • @XxChocoP1e Everything will be fine after 2/3 months if you keep him in house..at least mine is fine. You can't even notice that he is blind, actually they're more sensitive then "normal eye sight" puppys. I'm really glad that i took him :) And yap, peoples are usually more sad about that "blindness" then dogs, they can't feel pain or anything, and sight is on third or fourth place when dog come in question so he will be perfectly normal :>

  • I wish I had enough money to cure my dog :,,,,(

  • @schweij good news! if you're dog is suffering from auto immune than i think that he can be cured. my dog suddenly went blind a few months ago which made me really sad so i found a vet opthamologist and she recommended certain injections, steroids and an immune system suppressor his medications are over and he has recovered vision in his left eye and i assume partial vision in his right.

  • My dog was fine one day. then suddenly she began crashing in to walls, fences, and falling down the stairs. But our vet said she had cateracts. And they cost about $3000 per eye to fix. And my dog is 12 years old. So our vet said that as long as she isnt in danger of getting ran over/hurt then we dont have to put her down.

  • FUCK YOU BLINDNESS GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY AWESOME WOLDHOUND!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have a 9 year old schnauzer and she was diagnosed with diabetes in March and by August she was blind with cataracts...........came on very suddenly. I am trying to cope and it has been difficult.....but as long as she is showing signs of quality of life, I am going to keep her by my side...........

  • @petpalaimee you can get both of her eyes operated on (cataract removal and lens insertion) this will restore her eyesight and will only cost you $300. bad news is you have to come to india to do it. if you're interested i can give you the address of the clinic that does this.

  • my dog went blind ut thats cuz hes an old as hell poodle hes 15 now but he went blind cuz hes old but he does suprisingly well finding his way around shit and finding his food.....

  • im so upset now my dog went blind today and im not sure what will happen next

  • @jimmymallet55 was he squinting his eyes at first?? and did his eyes suddenly become cloudy?? i think he's suffering from glaucoma. there are a few injections a few tablets and a few eye drops that will help but i cant assure his eyesight coming back. my dog suddenly went blind and i'm really upset. the poor guy is only 2 and he loves to run around but now he is restrained to walking around the house. i'm gonna look into this treatment and see if it works, wish me luck.

  • @varun009 well i appreciate your help but unfourtantley he died in November he had a stroke......i think he had a neurological disease he did though act normal for his last months here with us, he adapted to it with great resolve.

  • @jimmymallet55 well im really sorry about that.

  • am i the only person replying to this video that did not have a dog just go blind?

also, this is good information and very heartwarming. my gf's boxer Vicky is almost 10 so I'm just waiting for the day this shit happens and I'll consider this type of treatment if the cost isn't too high, otherwise I'll just buy her a crash helmet.

    I'm being completely serious though.

    He was born without eyes.

  • Wow our dog sight did that same thing just yesterday. She was fine then next day she was hitting everything and the vet said she was blind. WHERE CAN WE GET THIS TREATMENT.

  • i saw a dog that's blind and is bumping into a tree

    hope this helps that dog

  • I have a pug that went blind last year, He is now 4 yrs old and he acts like he can see, He will sit on the couch and look outside! It's wierd, He still is able to live a happy life :)

  • @jdm98civic r u sure is just blurry?

  • My dog was hit with this very same problem, but the damage could not be repaired. She's adjusted well to and her blindness has not kept her from being a happy dog, though fetching stuff is off the table.

  • poor baby! T.T

  • 1:24 T-T

  • blindness is caused from diabetes im not joking, if ur dog starts loosing weight and such then get it check for diabetes thats what caused my dogs blindness

  • @SingForYou1 u are correct my 9 year old Yorkshire terrier was diagnosed with diabetes a month ago and now hes completely blind

  • My dog just recently went blind.

  • I have worked with my 9 year old Chispa, my Malinois, for about a year after she became blind.

I am happy to share my positive experiences with you. - Tom

WHY THE HELL ISNT THIS DISCUSSED MORE WITH OUR VETS AND EVERYONE ELSE?? WTF!!!

  • guys my dog suddenly went blind... and we have taken her to the vet and he had no clue on what the reason was.. hher eyes areglowing and are dark blue? please does nyone know what to do i am so upset.. :( somebody said that it was ivormectin overdose.... but my mum was giving wormer to her horse and some fell on the floor and my dog did eat it and maybe that is the cause please please help... :(

    thank you so muchxx

  • get an IOP measurement, your dog may have glaucoma.

  • Hi,

I posted a video response. I am living in Sweden and the Vet said that nothing could be done. Do you have any suggestions on what I could do?

    Tom

  • Better to see glazed eyes than no eyes at all...

  • her eye are fixed but do they still look like a blind dog's eyes? it showed it in the video but that would suck having a zombie dog around the house! (because of the "dead" eyes)

  • WHAT A DISCUSTING RESPONSE to someone's heart ache... Dead eyes do NOT mean there isn't life behind the soul of the dog...

  • way to respond to a 6 month old comment. anyway it would suck having to watch my dog with dead eyes it would.

  • its amazing and all how they restored the dogs eye sight and all but who the hell really cares i mean she's going to die anyway why not give her treatment's of nuclear radiation with radon to help fight the cancer so she can live then restore her eyesight. I feel really bad for that inocint poor, cute dog

  • > why not give her treatment's of nuclear

    > radiation with radon to help fight the cancer

    > so she can live then restore her eyesight.

Because if the radiation fails, all you have is a dog that dies in agony.

My dog has inoperable cancer. He's got a benign growth in the center of his liver. Although it's not metastasized (yet) I have to cook for him now. Should I have gone all out with chemo you think?

It's now 3 years later. If I did chemo, he'd probably be dead today.

  • and what if the radiation succeeds? than you would have a healthy dog without any health defects (unless the radiation gives the dog something) who can see. she can live a happy life for a few more years

  • > and what if the radiation succeeds?

Chemo is a difficult thing to go through. They don't dose dogs as high as humans, because with humans it's "life at any cost". He was diagnosed with liver cancer at 9 years old. He's just turned 13 now.

Chemo is a combination of radiation and so many drugs, you're being poisoned.

Wait until you face the choice between quality of life and quantity. He would have been sick for at least 6 months, and at the time, that was his expected remaining lifespan.

  • why couldn't they cure the dog of dying?

  • Its advances in medical science, not magical cancer reversal treatment.

  • No shit gooberplan. uuu musty bee smarrtter thazn meeee!

  • thats good

  • That is awesome!

  • its supposed to be a method used to cure a dog of blindness

  • My dog got diabetes and she went blind due to cataracts. The Vet wanted $5000 to insert a new lens.

The lens costs about $250 and the operation takes about 30 minutes.

$5,000 is an outrage for an operation that can be undertaken in humans under local anesthetic. An operation that's existed since at least 5BC.

It's just greed driving those prices.

  • The poodle is really funny! I kept watchin' that 24 sec in shot over and over. ROFL

  • the little dog is a bichon frise

  • Still funny, though. Thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • this is really impressive! i wonder how many cases of dog blindness can be attributed to the autoimmune disease?
