Deaf/mute Helen Keller was a spoiled brat when Annie Sullivan first met her, but very intelligent and climbing the walls because she had no way to communicate.
Annie Sullivan was only 20, but formerly blind and institutionalized when she was
an orphan. She successfully taught language to this smart but severely handicapped child. Helen Keller was eventually a graduate of Radcliffe College for Women, and a goodwill ambassador for the US.
@bookkeeper57 Yes Helen keller was almost 7 years old when Ann Sullivan met her first but she was very badly spoilt and unmanageable. She terrorized her family, was very angry and broke vases and lamps. She was a terrible child and her parents couldn't handle with her too. They felt too sorry for her and gave her everything she wanted, that's why Helen became as wild. When Ann Sullivan arrived she quickly realized that Helen would'nt make progress unless she takes her away from her parent's home.

Flippin heck a scene last over 7 minutes without dialogue but kept me gripped. The choreographed fighting was sensational and Bancroft was amazing.
