Nick, I love your videos. I am particularly fond of the ones with the Farfisa since I have one just like yours and I aspire to play as well someday! What type of drum machine do you use? Thanks for sharing you talent with us.
@tamyk007 Thank you dear friend Tam for your comment, this was one of my mum's favourite songs, I used to play it on the mouth organ before I started playing the accordion, Its a great song, I've always liked it.
Great playing & terrific sound, Nick! You really are the one man band in all of your fine performances! Back in the Sixties we would use both Farfisa and Vox portable electronic organs ("combo-organs") to perform the standard Rock 'n Roll repertoire. You certainly get a lot of musical mileage out of this Farfisa gem!
@FromHolbergsTime Thank you Glenn, I like the organ sound on the old Farfisa and even though its a bit outdated i still would not like to be without it !!
@Accordioncrasy Thank you Istvan, I have been off the computer for a few days as I have been busy with the hay and haylage making and we haven't been finishing till 10.30pm !! I know what you mean about all the uploads, I sometimes have trouble getting through them and then end up missing some, and now I have some catching up to do !!
@AccordionLadyMi Thank you Fran, I'm pleased this made you want to play your accordion, thats great!! This was another favourite of my Mum's, I often used to play it for her, she had the record of Elvis Presley singing it.
@BENNYMANS99 Thank you Brian, I think because the amp has the sfera sound on it it makes the organ sound,or flutes really sound better. the strings, brass section and bass and chords all go to the second channel without the sfera sound.
Nice to hear this one again--I used to play it in the 60's and sing too--altho never quite could make out the pronounciation of the German words--but to my Ukrainian family-it all sounded good! Our versions are almost identical--very nice job!!
@NancyMbWpg Hi Nancy, thank you for your comment, I find it very hard to sing and play at the same time and theres only a couple of songs that I can do that, I find I have to listen to what I am playing otherwise I go completely wrong lol.
@truckingsonofagun Thanks warren. If you want to have a go at playing the accordion its well worth trying, especially if you play the piano a bit, just start with a small cheaper accordion, thats what I did, a 48 bass galotta was my first accordion and I just play all by ear, I can't read a note of music.
@Wildrover434 i can read music due to i learned it when i played clerenet and trumpet in school, but i always played the piano by ear to.im going to look around and try to find one cheap or trade for it, i am poor right now due to layoff, the good old usa, aint what it use to be
