@MrSocool07 A temp fade is also a temple taper where the temple areas are faded instead of the whole lower half of the clients head. A low fade is a fade all the way around the head with the darkest hair on the top of the head low.

@slimthebarber nice cut, what is the importance of the Low sides and medium back? like what is considered Low, medium or high fades?

@MrSocool07 thanks. Low fade on the sides is faded at or below the temple and slightly above the ear. Low in the back means it's faded under the occipital bone. Medium is at the occipital in the back and just about at the temple on the side.

@cougar1234c I just picked up the Andis Superliners. So far so good. You can buy an extra blade and easily pop it off to put another one on. So you can have a bumped blade and a factory set blade.

Hey Slim Thanx for all the great vids. My question is whats the difference between the Ceramic Select and the MBX you are using in the this vid. Seems like you are calling these the select. Im looking to buy one in the next week or two.

@76ALX There isn't much of a difference. The MBX has a metal blade and the Ceramic Select has a ceramic blade. They both cut about the same. Ceramic blades do not get as hot as metal blades.

the low blended bald fades are becoming the new thing and down here in south texas not a lotta barbers can do them properly, this is the same type of haircut lots of people are coming to me for because so many barbers around here are so used to just diggin into the head when fading and giving more of a high blend, nice job, a low blended bald fade is so much more difficult than a customary high bald fade

nice haircut slim as usual. One question for you brother, how do you compare those andis select cuts to the oster fast feed? Those andis seem to be very bulky not to good for fading in my opinion. I love the fast feed from 000-1 i found it to be amazing. Other then that i never touch it. How do you think the select cut holds up to that? Thanks slim.

@ball1nalb0 thanks. I would say the select cuts are very comparable to the Fast Feed. They are a little bit longer, but they are not difficult to maneuver. I use them for just 000-1 like I used to use the Fast Feed.
