I am pissed I missed this show, and that I have to go from the middle of MD to this venue in order to see Nile, but it looks like its worth it. And yeah, I love these guys's slower breakdowns.
It's unbelivable that he could play this with an injured knee. Insane!
George is an awesome drummer, I love Nile and I think they're very talented, but I prefer their slower stuff, like Sarcophagus or the middle part in Sacrafice Unto Sebek.
Sorry to break it to you but the title track from this album features stuff about impaling people on the giant penis of the statue of a god; ''Annoint my phallus with the blood of the fallen''. Still, I don't see why the lyrics should make any difference to wether this is awesome music or not. Open your mind, and more importantly, your ears.
Dude, I know. I mean like Cannibal Corpse or As Blood Runs Black and stuff. And It doesn't matter, I just would rather listen to stuff that isn't about death than stuff that is. :)
And PS, I have and open mind. I listen to a LOT of stuff that isn't metal! :)
Jesus guys give 'im a break. Nile isn't a massacre of teh efol d00m band.. He likes Nile.. At least he's not goin' "omg tey r rili b4d m0f0s hu dunno hau 2 plai" .. He's respecting us and stating his opinion. I personally couldn't care less about lyrics. I just like the music
George is a Goid, and the only drummer who could keep up with Nile for 2 albums in a row (and keeping staying in the band :D). I'm proud to be his apprentice :)
None of the other drummers who played with Nile could stick around for more than one album because of personal problems...Pete was injured before BSOV was recorded..Derek Roddy was busy with Hate Eternal and only did BSOV..Tony Laureano had personal problems with the band. All legitimate reasons why they had to leave the band. It's not because they COULDNT (physically or drumwise) play for Nile.
derek only played in a couple songs on bsov pete did most of it, and he did amongst the catacombs so thats 2 albums right there, plus he played on ramses and festivals of atonement, but who cares theyre all amazing drummers whove played for an amazing band. NILE OWNS THIS METAL SCENE

You've been misinformed. Derek played all tracks on BSOV except for "To Dream of Ur"
