@rickstar871 Actually there have been numerous dynos of stock GTs suggesting Ford is seriously understating power, average is about 355kw some are even up to 370kw stock as a rock. The GTS has no hope in hell of beating the monster Ford has created unless they do the typical Holden thing and just add about another liter to displacement, in which case up comes to boost on the charger.

@rickstar871 Actually there have been numerous dynos of stock GTs suggesting Ford is seriously understating power, average is about 355kw some are even up to 370kw stock as a rock. The GTS has no hope in hell of beating the monster Ford has created unless they do the typical Holden thing and just add about another liter to displacement, in which case up comes to boost on the charger.

Holden only have the shit LS engines because they're broke and have no money for research and development at GM USA, where the holden engines come from so are relegated to 1950's crap pushrod designs that are too limited in what power they can get compared to DOHC engines. In fact, GM are the only ones still with push rod.

so yeah of course the bigger LS3 with a slightly bigger supercharger will get more power, but still not the 470kW your talking about. Are you talking about a mates worked commy and comparing it to a stock falcon?

@bozinyia I am aware Ford and Holden with both 5litres and pushing it would get about the same, They are always using similar tech to keep weight down etc. It doesn't matter who makes the engine it depends on its capacity really. I no Holden has 6litre and ford has 5. It would be interesting to see them both at 5litre Supercharged to the same PSI.

I think its funny Ford is doing very little in the body shape changes and by luck are catching up with Holden because they seem hell bent in fucking up their design by making uglier than previous models Right at the moment Ford dont need to d a lot to get their car shape spot on to really make a move on the rival certainly in the engine department they have made a good move pissing off the 5.4 and going back to a smaller unit with more punch and being blown allows for greater tuning at low cost
