@soulclappin Actually the original vocal was just recorded using a shitty dynamic mic and we clipped the input of my A/D converters creating that effect. Cheers!
Is there a way to write or print an effect to a track thats already set up in the inserts? To use the offline process i have to tweak all effect parameters to match what I have set up in my inserts?
@flbutterflyemmy Not sure what you mean. What file to an mp3? If you mean "can you export audio from Cubase to mp3" the answer is yes. Just go to export audio mixdown and select mp3 as your file type. Cheers!
@essejilen6 Hey mate. I'm using Cubase's bounce function. I think it's in the right click menu under audio. I have it set up to a keyboard shortcut (custom) cmd + b so it's fast. You can access this in the key commands menu item. Cheers!
hey man when i process my pitch shift and play back nothing has changed... im trying to use the transpose thing cos i wanna pitch shift the whole audio so then i can chop it and work with it..... right now im having to use audacity to pitch and then import and its annoying, its slowin me down and also if i wanted to change the pitch another time ihave to make my chops again.... can u help me maybe ? thanks. btw im using cubase 5
I stopped using Cubase with version 4, but if 5 is at all the same, then you need to not use the envelope section of the pitch shift and click on the other tab for a full shift down semitones or cents. Also, you should be able to use transpose too. And, unless your copy is cracked - tsk tsk - then you can call Lindsay at support. He's not a girl, I made that mistake. Cheers!
I knew how to pitch shift but did not know you had to bounce selection instead of merging which is why all my pitch shifts were crap for multiple sound clips
You could do the same effect a couple of ways. First is a sampler. If you put the sample into a sampler and play it, you could use the pitch wheel to slowly decrease the pitch of it while it's playing and record the automation. Otherwise, you could use Melodyne or Autotune, but that would be overkill. Google Wavosaur or Gsnap for some to start with.
THANK YOU!!
