  • Can you Make this same effect in Ableton?

  • you are very good at making tutorials please make more with cubase thanks!!!

  • the original vocal, how is that processed?i hear some overdrive and what else?tnx

  • @soulclappin Actually the original vocal was just recorded using a shitty dynamic mic and we clipped the input of my A/D converters creating that effect. Cheers!

  • @DJVespers cool!

  • Is there a way to write or print an effect to a track thats already set up in the inserts? To use the offline process i have to tweak all effect parameters to match what I have set up in my inserts?

  • @cast390 Not sure mate. Sorry.

  • is there a way ican get that plugin for le 4 or could iupgrade for free to cubase 5?

  • @DaveyBOfficial Hey mate. That would be a great question for Steinberg sales or tech support. Best of luck!

  • are these all stock with cubase? if so, i dont have any of this. could it be because mine is cubase le4?

  • @Masharbashboi Yep, these are all stock in Cubase 4 full version. I never use LE so not sure.

  • thanks, that was very helpful!

  • Also are the vst's that your using stock ?

  • @Masharbashboi Yep, sure are.

  • hot u do that in 1:06 - 1:08 ?!?!?!

  • @VitasDaniel You bounce by using the "bounce" command in Cubase. I think it's command + B. Cheers!

  • will the commands me the same on windows? also could you use stuff like the "chopper" effect on a guitar file?

  • @Masharbashboi Sure could. Not sure on the Windows commands though. I'm all Mac.

  • Hey how do you get your vst plugins in your audio menu when you right click an event or the audio?

  • @JonBeezProductions You have to set a VST plugins folder in your prefs I think.

  • hey bro!!! u are god!! tnks a alot!!

  • @CERDODEP Thanks mate.

  • great tut..thanks

  • @richpickins You're welcome. Cheers!

  • dude, you just saved my life! i've been looking for a tut like this for months !!! THANK YOU BRO! I

  • @pi4zinhu Nice! Glad to help out. Cheers!

  • then i learned something too today :)

  • can you convert you file into an mp3?

  • @flbutterflyemmy Not sure what you mean. What file to an mp3? If you mean "can you export audio from Cubase to mp3" the answer is yes. Just go to export audio mixdown and select mp3 as your file type. Cheers!

  • What program is this?

I'm looking for something that can pitch shift and this looks pretty easy.

  • @flbutterflyemmy Yo yo. This is Cubase 4. They have version 5 now. Sick stuff. Cheers!

  • @DJVespers

    Thanks dude!

    I'll go check it out!

  • How do u rebouns it? - 1:08? - What do u click?

  • @essejilen6 Hey mate. I'm using Cubase's bounce function. I think it's in the right click menu under audio. I have it set up to a keyboard shortcut (custom) cmd + b so it's fast. You can access this in the key commands menu item. Cheers!

  • DUDE!!!!!! THANX A MILLION!

  • hey man when i process my pitch shift and play back nothing has changed... im trying to use the transpose thing cos i wanna pitch shift the whole audio so then i can chop it and work with it..... right now im having to use audacity to pitch and then import and its annoying, its slowin me down and also if i wanted to change the pitch another time ihave to make my chops again.... can u help me maybe ? thanks. btw im using cubase 5

  • I stopped using Cubase with version 4, but if 5 is at all the same, then you need to not use the envelope section of the pitch shift and click on the other tab for a full shift down semitones or cents. Also, you should be able to use transpose too. And, unless your copy is cracked - tsk tsk - then you can call Lindsay at support. He's not a girl, I made that mistake. Cheers!

  • lol i would liked to have heard that mixup!

thanks for ur reply... will have to get it sorted soon :)

  • I knew how to pitch shift but did not know you had to bounce selection instead of merging which is why all my pitch shifts were crap for multiple sound clips

so i learnt something thank you!

    DJ Esi xx

  • No problem. Keep watching!

  • my right click doesnt have a 'pitch shift' option in the process menu.

    help?

  • Are you using Cubase 4? Cubase Studio or other versions of Cubase may not have this function. I'm using the full version of Cubase 4.

  • im using cubase LE 4.

do you know of a pitch shifting VST plugin?

  • You could do the same effect a couple of ways. First is a sampler. If you put the sample into a sampler and play it, you could use the pitch wheel to slowly decrease the pitch of it while it's playing and record the automation. Otherwise, you could use Melodyne or Autotune, but that would be overkill. Google Wavosaur or Gsnap for some to start with.

  • SX3 has it
