I'm a queen and I've always taken full responsibility for anything I borrow. I've had things break by accident (promise) and I still took full responsibility to fix it and return it. Which is why none of the queens at the bar I work at have a problem with loaning me things. I think it really just has to do with the person that is borrowing the stuff and how responsible they are and how good of care they will take of your things.

oohhh girl i know what you mean cause my bff would just barge through my makeup/nail collection and would take stuff and return them like 6 months later or even a year later. And like one time she took my feather brush w/out permission and asked her about it and told her to return it then she tells me her cat ripped it up!

I'm not a dragqueen, but I am a MTF transsexual and I know how you feel, but for different reasons. For me, being a woman is NOT an art form, but a way of life. I don't fancy gay boys playing in drag, presenting all the wrong mannerisms, and further perpetuating the stereotypes that "hetero" society has about transgendered and transsexual persons.

I've thought about trying drag every now and then but my one close friend who dated a guy who was a queen has told me to stay away from the scene, his boyfriend was a total bitch to him when he was in drag and treated him worse than dirt. Kinda puts me off

i get that problem sometimes when i go wig shopping and sometimes i go"im gonna buy at least one wig dont worry"or i might already have a big basket o' weave hair {to make wigs}which should make it obvious im dropping some coins but u still get the problem sometimes when people dont understand why a dude id trying on girls wigs...plus I ALWAYS brush and return the wigs i dont purchase to the little heads.but i am hairdreser so yeah...

How do you feel about women asking to pay for makeovers? I've gone to a few shows where the performers actually asked to give me a makeover (no pay) and take me out, but after seeing this, I'm wondering if Portland queens are just crazy. Haha

@BunClunk When I was a makeup artist for Versace... I used to LOVE doing the other girls makeup just for fun... but yeah WE ALL LOVE MAKEUP... and Hairdressers love doign hair...but do you ever go to your friends hows and him to cut color and style your hair for free? but there are occasions that he might be like HEY can I color your hair tongiht? just for fun :)

@MistyinFL Completely makes sense. I've never asked any of them to do anything (I can totally see where you're coming from about the rude thing), but they're always so nice about doing makeovers (which is awesome, because I fail at makeup). Thank you!
