Say what you want.. but the research is just a cover.. can you site any particular useful studies that have come out of the killing of the whales? You can't kill the whales to study them.. What is killing them is sonar tests, lack of food due to overfishing, large levels of pollutants due to illegal dumping, and well, whaling.. That's simple enough, if all those factors were gone, then I'd be more concerned about that..

The last study counted about 1200 in 2002. They saw 14 calves. 40 years from now we may not have any left. To hell with the whalers.

Pause the video at 1:14. The sperm whale was so rotted on the beach where they found it, that the gases in it's stomach ruptured it and threw blood and guts all over the street, cars, and bystanders. Yes just picture the barbarism as thousands of Japanese scientists, robotics engineers, and computer analysts ride some of the worlds fastest JAPANESE engineerd trains to work every day. How ever you are correct whale killing is cruel but as mentioned in my post just before this the decision to stop whaling is up to the Japanese government not us, and don't bother sending usless whiney letters to Japanese government they'll just throw them away.

Whales have large brains , they are a higher evolved species of mammal just like humans and dolphins . Killing them is murder . What else needs to be said?

If they're so smart why havnt they figured out a way to stop us? And of course they're brains are large, they are incredibly big animals science has already proven the size of ones brain is a useless factor its all about folds and creases. Now please don't get me wrong I don't think whale slaughtering is right but its not our place to tell the Japanese what to do they are there own country. Seriously please have a spoon full of reality before you post next time.

Brain size does matter. But how it is set up matters too. even high-end hardware needs some space to fit in. Pure logic. How ever if a brain would become too large it also becomes less efficient.
as whales do not have arms or legs how should they defend them selves against such insane crap. And what happens on this planet is every bodies cup of tea not just one country or what ever.
